Cloth Interior. Defrost. Heat. Power Brakes. Power Steering. Power Windows. Front Disc Brakes SELLER REMARKS The Chevrolet II practically defines the hot-rodding lifestyle of the 1960s. Sure. manufacturers were putting asphalt warriors in the showroom such as the Buick GSX. big block Chevelles. and 426 equipped Mopars. But the enthusiast on a budget reached for the compact cars like this 1963 Chevrolet II Nova Tribute. and swapped in a larger 8 cylinder engine to gain big power in a small package. Painted in red and flashing a liquid gloss. this is a classic car body that you'll appreciate seeing cleaned up every time you treat it with a detail. It's a simple design from GM that is accented well with sharp bright work. chrome bumpers. SS badging. aftermarket headlights. and a vertical grill. The body is solid. panels appear smooth. gaps are consistent. and the doors. trunk. and hood shut with confidence. The windows are framed by clean trim. and 15'' Rally wheels with faux knock offs are wrapped in BF Goodrich rubber for a classic muscle car appearance. Open the doors and you're welcomed by a tan cloth interior that features reclining buckets with custom stitching in the back rests. Those buckets and rear bench seat are firm and provide comfortable seating for long hauls. Also covered in the soft cloth are the door panels that host the door handles and switches for power windows. The traditional tan dash houses Auto Meter Pro Comp gauges that measure speed. revs. oil pressure. water temp. voltage. and fuel level. Those gauges are mounted in faux carbon fiber bezels that add a nice contrast against the dash. Also found in dash are switches for the air conditioning unit. and topping things off is a chrome Billet Specialties half wrapped steering wheel. Lift the hood to a flashy engine bay that is ready to show off the 400 cubic inch V8 that appears shoehorned in. That big motor has been sourced from a 1972 Caprice and is dressed with chrome and mirror reflections everywhere. including under the hood. Stainless steel hoses snake around the motor for a racy look. and an Edelbrock carburetor and aftermarket headers enhance the power for the competition feel. Underneath. the 400 sends gasses through a menacing-sounding dual exhaust system that is a bright contrast against the black floor pans. and it sends power to an automatic transmission. There are power assisted disc brakes up front. and 205/60 front and 225/50 rear BF Goodrich Radial T/As put the power to the road. This '63 Chevy. as all production II model sedans did of the year. originally left the factory with a six cylinder engine. but somewhere along the way one enthusiastic owner took advantage of the compact body and put some brass under the hood that is worthy of embarrassing higher end muscle cars. Whether you're looking to prowl the streets on a Friday night or enjoy a Saturday cruise-in. this Nova Tribute will provide many thrills.
