Up for auction is a 1958 GMC pick up truck. This truck has a sbc 283 V8 engine with chrome hugger headers and a Holley 600 CFM 4 barrel carburetor. The engine has about 5000 miles on it since the rebuild. The alternator is a 100 amp chrome 1 wire alt. The radiator is a 3 row aluminum and has the factory original reservoir tank mounted on the inner fender. The truck has a automatic TH350 transmission that shifts and works great. All the lights including optional factory blinker system work great. All the gauges work along with the dash lights. The trams shifter is a B&M floor shifter with neutral safety switch installed. The truck has drum brakes and the original master cylinder has been replaced with a dual master cylinder for safer braking. All brake lines, rake hoses, tc. have been replaced. The truck's gas tank is in it's original place behind the original bench seat. The bench seat has 4 places where cigarette burns have been repaired. All the rubber seals and door seals have been replaced including the hood to cowl seal. All the glass has been replaced the back glass is original to the truck. The cab floor and the cab corners and door bottoms are solid with no rust. The fenders and bed are also solid with no rust.. The undercarriage of the truck has been undercoated from front to back including under the fenders. The truck has been painted electric blue with a urethane enamel the paint is nice but not perfect. The bed wood had been replaced with pine wood. The bed strips are stainless and all the hardware is stainless as well. The tailgate chains are also stainless. The original spare tire is mounted under the bed. The truck drives and runs great. This truck was restored with driving everyday in mind it is not a show truck but with a little more work could easily be made into a show truck. The truck has the optional speaker mounted over the windshield and the speaker works. The truck does not have a radio but you can pick up a reproduction radio on EBay for around $160.00.
