Here for sale is a wonderful example of a 1962 Chevy Impala two-door hardtop with the red exterior and red interior. It has its born with complete numbers matching drivetrain with 84. 00 original miles. I was informed by the previous owner that the engine was completely rebuilt and it runs very well. This Impala is documented with the original build sheet and window sticker. This car was stripped to bare metal and painted in basecoat/clearcoat that was sanded to a 3000 grit and buffed to a glass finish. This car was very heavily undercoated and rustproofed from the dealer. The body is in excellent condition as well as the undercarriage however. I did not black out the frame or undercarrige so that the new owner could see the original detail on how nice and rust free the undercarriage actually is. You could drive this Impala as is or if you prefer. nbsp;you could take it to the next level and detail the undercarriage. All of the exterior chrome and emblems were replaced with new chrome and emblems. nbsp;these items are as followed. nbsp; new bumpers. all crome moldings. emblems exterior mirrors and door handles along with all new weather stripping. The interior has new seat covers. carpet. headliner. door and window handles. ashtrays. package tray. sill plate moldings. door lock handles and Impala dash emblems. The engine compartment is dressed up with old-school aluminum finned valve covers and breather it also has a new chrome power brake system with new wheel bearings. wheel cylinders. brakes and brake hoses. the brakes work awesome. There is also a new chrome alternator and new updated power steering. I also purchased and installed a new gauage cluster and a brand new complete. stainless steel Magnaflow dual exhaust system it has that old school deep sound. This impala wears a set of Chevrolet rally wheels with white letter radial tires. I also installed a 700 R4 overdrive transmission for better drivability however. I have the original powerglide transmission that will be included in the sale of this vehicle. It is the opinion of most that the timeless lines of the 1962 Impala 2 door hard-top is the favorite of the 4 year run. This is a beautiful example that will bring great fun to the new owners for years to come.
