Description for Chevrolet Impala 1960
Here is a 1960 Chevrolet Impala Convertible with 55. 00 ORIGINAL MILES car has the original drive train & is a matching numbers car with the 348 cu in with 4 bbl carb & the turbo-glide automatic transmission. Has factory power brakes & steering & white power top with red boot. Has the accessory guards on the front & back bumpers. knock off wheels spinners with the cross flags. original fender skirts in the trunk & has the optional front fender ornaments. Very solid car inside & out. Car has spent it's whole life in southern California & has recorded documented history included. The car has a story to tell the 2nd owner bought it from the original owner in 1985 with the intention of buying a '59 Impala Convertible but he couldn't find one so he found this '60 Impala & only put 1000 miles the whole time he had the car he owned it for 28 years & sold it to the 3rd owner last year. But shortly after he bought this '60 he found his 1959 Impala Convertible the car he really wanted & that became the car he was driving on the weekends to this day & he had an extra car garage & he put this '60 Impala in storage for 28 years. In 2007 & 2008 he had the transmission rebuilt & installed a new stock red & white interior & rechromed the front & back bumpers & replaced all the side trim & stainless with NOS GM stock & had the car repainted back to the original color of Ermine White. ( The original owner changed the color to Roman red ). Exterior & interior colors are paint & trim code correct. Paint code 936 = Ermine White. Trim code 874 = Red & White vinyl impala. 2nd owner spent $11. 14. 00 on this car & kept a record of work & maintenance receipts. Car has new BF Goodrich Silver town 4 ply wide whites with matching spare. I just spent $826. 00 fixing the brakes with new shoes & wheel cylinders & one new drum & had the brake system flushed. Very functional car & every component works except the clock & cigarette lighter . but all the gauges & dash lights & interior lights & high & low beam headlights. parking lights. taillights. brake lights. back up lights. license plate light & turn signals work. Factory original push button am radio & heater & defrost controls work great & the 2 speed wipers work & the horn works even the glove box light works. Factory original padded dash is in excellent condition. Has 2-way mirror . Among the recorded history is the name & phone # of the original owner of this car. According to the 2nd owner the top is original he said the only thing the original owner replaced was the back window of the canvas otherwise the top is original to the car. Car also has a new gas tank & the chassic underneath is very clean. This car is a restoration & a time capsule & is a very impressive car & fun to drive & a good investment. The 59 Impala Convertibles are the new goldmines probably because they're more rare & hard to find ( I know a '59 Impala Ragtop that recently sold for $60. 00 at a local dealer ) but I think it's just a question of time when the '60 Impala Ragtops will soon catch up & take over & maybe even surpass it's outrageous Batwing predecessor . If you can't find or afford the '59's the '60 is the next best thing & just as exciting. Shall we ask the 2nd owner ?? I like both years. On You Tube there's a 60 Impala Conv. with the big block matching numbers car that sold at a classic auction for $59. 00 but since I'm in the Christmas spirit my price is generously lower. So get in now before prices are out of the park first it was the'58 &'59 Impala Convertibles the '60's are next & rising in value as we speak so hurry. Please no trades ( a '59 Impala Conv. would be a temptation but I can't afford it ). This is a good car so happy bidding. Payment must be a bank wire transfer or cash bills & no checks of any kind. I encourage & recommend all serious buyers to come & see the car if you can. For questions please call at 971 732-2691 & please no text messages I will not return texts. A perfect Christmas gift & the right colors white & red but this is a rare desirable car & I will not give this car away. this car is worth it's weight in gold so no low balling please respect the value of this collectors treasure. Serious calls only please.
