The car has been lowered and is fitted with custom made. extra wide wheels! Headlights have chrome wire rock guards'. There is a corvette type luggage rack mounted on rear engine hood. The Turbo Engine was rebuilt from "All bolts turned" by the Corvair Doctor [Now retired]. About 1. 00 on the rebuilt motor . His shop was located in Hawthorn. CA. Keith Harrington installed a custom camshaft to open quicker and the exhaust valve closes sooner so as to allow blow through. The 4 speed transmission was located on the East Coast. Keith Harrington. the Corvair doctor. overhauled the transmission as well. The car was painted about 20 years ago. However. the car has been garaged except for car shows and parades. Has won people's choice several times. The car has seat belts installed and has been driven on freeways and is stable up to 70 MPH [Fastest Speed I have driven it]. Brakes. the lowering of the front of the vehicle. plus the custom interior and the Black top was performed by California Corvair's located in Chino. Ca. Fuel Pump is new. and the carburetor was rebuilt a year ago by David Statland. The interior was designed by the long time owner. His instructions were carried out by Clark's Corvair Parts in Shelburne Falls. Then it was shipped to California Corvair's where the padded dash. all rugs. door panels. and seats were installed. All work performed on this car has been done by qualified Corvair professionals. Due to my age. it is time to pass this car on to someone who will give it the care I have given it.
