In 1968 the Chevelle got an all new look that featured a rounder body that was destined to change turn the Chevelles into one of the most iconic muscle cars ever. The one we have for you has had what appears to be a full body resto and is done in the timeless Red With Black Stripe paint scheme. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior. interior. and heartbeat of the Chevy. but first we would like to tell you a little about us. Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned. operated. and own our entire inventory. no consignments. and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So. that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. It has great lines with good gaps with the fit of the fenders and doors being very nice. Everything is covered in the Victory Red Paint that is accented by the Black stripes that has all been buffed and polished to a deep rich shine. The bumper loos to be new as well as other chrome. At the time of the resto they also installed new weather stripping as well as other rubber trim. As for the stainless it is nice as well. The final exterior touch is the set of factory 18” and 20” Americans. Next. we will take a look at the interior of the ’68. Everything is done in the classic Black that flows the exterior to the interior perfectly. It comes with the correct bucket seats that are covered in what appears to be the right covers. This Chevelle has a console with the Horse Shoe Shifter. All the carper. door panels and dash pad look like new. When you look at the dash it’s correct all the way down to the factory radio. Finally. we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it’s powered by a ’67 model 396 that is mated to a 400 Turbo Trans and a 12 Bolt Rear End. The engine has had a few upgrade with the Aluminum Intake and Holley Carb along with the chrome valve covers and breather. Also. it’s fitted with a set of Headers and Flow Master Exhaust to give us the sound we all want. To keep it cool it has a 4 core radiator. To ensure this car will stop as you would expect it has Power Brakes with Disc on the Front. When you look under it all the floors look good as well as the Frame Rails. It has a new fuel tank and has a set of Ladder bars added to put the power to the ground. We are selling this Chevelle to be an SS clone with the 136 vin.
