You are looking at a 1965 Chevy C-10 Fleetside Custom Cab, t was owned by a customer in Austin Texas that gave the low down on this truck. He traded it in on a motorcycle. Below is the information he provided. " I pull it out of the garage a couple times a week, nd when I do, ts a real head-turner with constant thumbs up and hand waves by most people I pass. I purchased the truck back in February of this year. It starts right up every time and is dependable - she has never left me stranded. It has a 327ci, utomatic turbo 400 transmission, ower steering and power brakes. It has dual exhaust, hich sounds awesome at idle or getting on the gas. It has an Edelbrock 4-barrel, ut has an adapter plate setup which uses 2-barrels for savings on gas. Feel comfortable driving across the country or around town, ither way you'd be happy with this truck. I have taken it on trips with no problems. The paint was done some years back, hich it still looks good. It is blue with dark gray (gunmetal) stripes and a dark gray top - really stands out as a one of a kind. You can see some white paint underneath in some small areas, hich appears to be the original color. Some paint chips where covered up by the previous owner; he used a slightly darker blue color, ut it does not look too bad. No dents or body damage that I can see. There is very little to no rust, rimary slight surface oxidation on the bed which gives some nice patina (no rust holes, ts solid). However, here is a small bubbling spot on the lower front fender of the drivers side (typical area for rust), hich you should be able to see in one of the pictures. The floor pans were replaced, o the floor is nice and solid. It has been garaged most of its life. The tires are new and have about 2,500 miles on them, long with a recent wheel alignment. It has factory A/C, ut you will need a new compressor. Here's a list of new parts/upgrades I've done over the past 7 months, ll totaling well over $5000, ost of which were installed by professionals. Parts/upgrades as follows: Lowering springs and shocks (2 inch drop in front and 3 inch drop in rear) Sony Stereo CD player with remote control - Bluetooth with Hands-Free cell phone talking Digital Design Speakers Digital Design sub-woofer with custom box underneath seat (sound system rocks) PowerBass Amp for subwoofer Chrome Front Bumper Chrome Rear Bumpers Rare Bumper Braces Chrome Chevrolet Grill Chrome Headlight Bezels Headlamp buckets and screw adjusters Headlamp backing plates Headlamp springs Chevrolet Emblem on glove box Glove box striker Cigarette lighter Headlight dimmer/bright floor switch Seat belts for 3 (this year model does not require seat belts, o I installed for my kids safety) Seat cover Black carpet Custom cut dash pad Floor-pans Wheel bearings Transmission seal Transmission hoses (that go to radiator) Tie rod on one wheel (mechanic said the other looked fine) Speedometer cable Battery Air-filter with Chrome cover Fan belts (all 3 replaced)" like the previous owner has said it has had a lot of new parts replaced, t starts easy, uns and drives good. The brakes are power and are very touchy. The a/c does not blow cold, t has some oil leaks when parked on the shop floor. The paint looks good from a distance, hen you get up close you can see the flaws, t has several places where the paint is chipped and peeling. It has some rust bubbles on the drivers side lower fender. Overall for a 50 year old truck its really pretty nice, he interior has a seat cover on it, he bed has a metal diamond plate over the old wood bed. check out the pictures and watch the video, all us to buy this truck. |
