Description for Chevrolet C-10 1969
I have for sale my 1969 Chevy C10 long bed pickup. The truck has an almost perfect body with only a few rust spots in the bed and directly on the normal floor spot at the drivers side cab support. The truck is equipped with a 1983 350 CI V8 with a remanufactured Quadrajet just installed, new fuel pump, ull tuneup with new wires, lugs, ap, otor, CV and a new vacuum advance unit on the distributor. According to the previous owner, he engine was rebuilt with .030 over pistons 7,000 miles ago. I have just changed the oil and filter. A brand new duralast Gold battery and cable ends were installed a few months ago. It starts and runs very well and does not leak, moke or seep. The transmission has been replaced by the previous owner with a period 4 speed Muncie M21aluminum sports car transmission and hurst floor shifter. He had done this work, ainted the truck and installed the tires and driven it. At a certain point the transmission had started to get very noisy. He had parked the truck and let it go for years. When I received the truck I pulled the transmission and disassembled it. I then delivered it to a Muncie specialist in the area who replaced all consumable items and several parts that had been worn badly. While it was out I replaced the entire clutch with a NAPA standard item, eplaced the pilot bearing, ear main seal and output yoke and universal bearings. It now shifts and operates normally. It is noisy as the M22 reputation says it should be. The truck is equipped with American Racing style alloy wheels and slightly oversized tires. The tires will need to be replaced immediately. They have plenty of tread but are very dry rotted from sitting when it was put away by the previous owner. They hold air fine. I drive the truck in my local area for small errands but don't take it down the highway at 70mph. The truck has a smaller than stock racing style steering wheel and has a new seat cover. the original seat is still plush and comfortable but has torn at the seam under the driver. All glass is perfect and the flat black paint is actually very well done. I replaced the rear bumper when I got it, ut the front bumper and grille are dinged. They are very cheap to replace but I was not interested in a show truck. This is a great driver that will be even better after a little more driving and tuning. I would go through the truck and double check everything before it became my daily driver. It starts right up and stops well, he lights all work, ut some connections might need to be cleaned as they sometimes need to be turned on and off before the interior lights come on. The battery charges and the radiator is clean with fresh fluid. The M22 is a close ratio gear set towards the top end. It gets you going pretty quick and I would expect a nice calm engine RPM and good fuel economy with the higher differential and large tires coupled with the Quadrajet.Feel free to ask any questions. A deal is a deal. If you bid and buy, t is yours. Look closely at the 23 pictures and you will not be disappointed. I know several shippers if you are looking to have the truck delivered.
