Description for Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 1984
This is your chance to buy something that money many times cant.... An extremely clean rust free mechanicallyexceptional 3rd gen non-abusedGM pick-up. Rust/patch panels/kitty hair/and all the other crap that goes into rehabbing a rusty and or crushed in truck were unacceptable to me so I hand picked this truck in the desert out of thousands and drove 4000 milesto bring it home. Although the truck was a decent driver,2 days after I got it home, gutted everything and sent it off to be lineX'd...nearly $2000 just in undercoating/rust proofing/bed liner and then the rebuilding process began. I wentthrough nearly every aspect of this truck before I got it back on the road. It has been an excellent performer since. This is not my daily driver (although it could be) nor does it know what snow or salt are and only on occasion has seen rain and never been outside over night since I've owned it. Where to start....
Chassis: 4 inch Rancho lift with helper air bags out back. heavy duty draw tite hitch and 7 pin connector with brake controller, ll new tie rods/steering arms/ball joints, after market steering shaftetc, etc.
Drive Train:
Engine is a 1969 4 bolt main 350 (I ran the numbers) that runs excellent and very strong... double pump mechanical 650 quickfuel 4150(holley) carb and full length headers. The engine was apparently rebuilt very recently before I bought the truck because the oil pan, alve covers, nd cylinder heads were/are spotless! Full length ceramic coated headers and flowmaster dual exhaust. Dual core aluminum radiator with custom mounted fan with thermostat switch and manual over ride. This truck goes up to operating temp (195)and stays there no matter what.
Transmission is a turbo 350 that had been apparently built very recently before I bought the truck. The fluid and the bottom of the original pan were perfect. It shifts strong. I added a larger cooler and temp gauge. On the hottest days it never getspast about 160 pulling a load across town. The transfer case has a slight drip after it is parked but then stops. Nothing major. I have a new output seal but haven't bothered putting it inyet due to the leak being minor. These take ATF unlike the older ones. Front and rear drive shafts are new and were built by ADM (Patterson)
Axles: I had the stock 3.08 gears professionally swapped out for 4.10 gears with all new seals/bearings etc and rebuilt front half shafts.
Interior: All new interior including full Autometer electric instrumentation, ully rebuilt steering column with Grant wheel, inylbench, bed liner floor, oor panels, ower window motors, lower motor, iper motor, tc etc.For simplification, he air/heater blower motor is a one function on/off and cool/hot vented to the windshield. No A/C. That's what windows are for. Hurst ratchet shifter. Retro tunes radio.
Electrical:Nearly allnew wiring including new fuse panels/relays. New headlamps/markers. Window lift and windshield wiper motors, ll new switches, lternator, atteryetc.
Wheels/ Tires: 35 inch tires in excellent shape (must have been bought newright before the truck was sold to me) on Eagle Rims also in excellent shape
Fuel system: 20 Gal aluminum fuel cell replacing the dual saddle tanks and all the crap that goes with them! top of the line stainless braided teflon fuel line/steel AN fittings were used to plumbeverything. mechanical Edelbrock fuel pump (130gph/self regulated if I remember correctly.)
Body: NO PATCH PANELS exist on this truck. Nothing was crushed in or beat up including the bed/tailgate. A minor shallow dent in the passenger side door was about all the body man had to fix. Paint was professionally done in May.All new front end dress up kit. New bumpers
This is not just agreat looking truck, nlike most other older trucks thatare spiffed up to sell, nbsp;many many thousands was spent on stuff you cant see. The starting price on this truck wont evencover the cost of parts. If more than just looks matters to you and you know what these trucks are all about then this is your chance to own this truck. Of course be prepared for conversation every time you are at the gas pump!
Absolutely no trades of any kindand cash/cleared payment beforetruck or title(yes its clear and in my name) moves. Prefer to meet in person and complete transaction at bank. I would not trust a shipping company with this truck due to its size and condition. I've put about 5000mi on it since restoration and the truck has performed excellent (like most other trucks of this vintage the miles were unknown before restoration). Any questions just ask as I know every nut and bolt on this truck. The only reason Im selling is to consolidate vehicles to make room for more projects. I don't need to sell though. Thanks, nd good luck.
