Description for Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1957

This auction is for a decent solid and straight 57 Chevrolet Belair 4 dr sedan. If your looking for a nice 50's car to go cruising in . enjoy the car shows and such and wont break the bank then this may be the right car for you. We took this car in trade on a late model corvette roadster and was going to freshen itup a bit for the up coming spring but are going to list it as it is to give someone a great deal. The car is an original Belair with the original 283 V-8 2bbl with autopower glide transmission running gear is in very good shape. The only thing that needs to be addressed is the float in the carb tends to stick intermittently just tap it and it comes right out of it . Driving down the road it was fine but sometimes when it idles it starts to stick again Has dual exhaust Has 4 decent bias ply wide white wall tires. The body is in way above average condition. Very solid . straight and nice clean rust free under carriage. Trunk is super solid also. Usually you see some spotty rust spots on the inner trunk tubs even on the good cars but not in this case. All inner tubs . rockers. braces. etc are good and solid. If you can fault the body anywhere there is a paint bubble in the corner of each rear door and a tinyrepair spot on the bottom of the right front fender that has a hairline crack These areas would be very easy to touch up. The clear coat on the roof is peeling and a little bit on thetop of one fender and trunk lid. I would repaint the roof in an adobe beige color and just touchup the rest but that could be done at your leisure. All the chrome and stainless is in good driver quality condition. I do have a new colored insert for the grill bar that will be included. Theinterior was redone years ago to a tuffed and button pattern that was popular back then. Headlinerwas redone also. Very nice job . I like it better then the original. The hub caps are not correct butI have since found 4 nice originals that will be included. Overall just a real nice belair sedan thatwith very minor tlc would be ready to enjoy for the upcoming season. Its getting tough to find good vintage cars at realistic prices. This one is one of those. Selling on a Maine dealer bill of sale and proper transfer paper work. If you need a title in your state we will register the car and with that and our paper work you will receive a title. It would be an additional $150 dollars should you need this service. We require a $500 dollar non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auctions end . Balance due within 3 days of auctions end. If you need more pics or info call or email at 207-324-5568 days or 207-432-2862 eves and Sundays. On Dec-24-14 at 10:14:10 PST. seller added the following information:Just wanted to add a little more info . Had some inquiries as to the drivers door window glass. yes it is cracked as shown in the pics. Does roll up and down with no problem but forgot to mention it in the description. All other glass is fine. Also had a number of inquiries for pics of the under side of the car . It has been pouring rain but i did get some underside shots if you need them. It is good and solid underneath as I wrote in my add. No repairs or replacement panels. I did spot a very small area (about 3x3 inch)on the front passenger floor pan that is just starting. On Dec-26-14 at 09:01:15 PST. seller added the following information:Update As of now if you have less then 40 feed back you need to contact us prior to bidding. I just canceled the high bidder who had a zero feed back . I have no problem with low feedback bidders as long as they are going to contact me when I ask and follow through with the sale should they win. We all have to start at the beginning just as I had to years ago. I gave this person 24 hours to contact me which I feel is plenty of time. No response so I canceled the bids. On Dec-27-14 at 09:22:17 PST. seller added the following information:Here we go again . This is becoming old . 24 hours ago i sent a message to the high bidder to please contact me . Again no response . I don't understand people bidding and then not doing what you ask them to do. Also after seeing the tons of negatives I decided to cancel the bids. Please do not bid if you cant follow some simple instructions . Who ever is the high bidder at the end of the auction please contact me so I know what your intentions are. If there is no contact I will go to the next in line. Auctions are time consuming and costly and all I ask is the bidder to be serious.
