1969 Chevrolet Camaro Pro Touring Z28 Tribute Body Off Restoration
This car was originally a SS 350 X11 car that was blue from the factory; I had a professional body/paint shop do a complete body off restoration about 2 years ago. Cortez Silver factory color base coat clear coat with the underneath painted black heavy paint to resist gravel chips etc. from damaging paint.
Engine: DZ 302 overhauled by Drag Racing Champion Joe Lemley. It has the steel crank. The new pistons are Flat Tops, ew Carb, ew wiring throughout the car, ew Radiator, ew Interstate Battery, ooling Fan with Shroud, ew Vintage Air and Heating Unit, ower Steering, ower Disc Brakes on front with Drums on rear. The Firewall has been smoothed out and looks great underneath the 2" Cowl Hood. The engine runs very nice and smooth with a beautiful sounding exhaust system with that special Z28 sound. I installed sound suppressing material under new carpet and in Headliner. New rear leaf springs and Shock Absorbers, ew gas tank with Stainless Steel Lines. This is a great driving car, o much fun to drive!
The Muncie transmission was overhauled by Mr. Hank Blume. He rebuilt it with all OEM GM parts. It is rebuilt as a M22 Rock Crusher and has the unique sound that is so unique. It shifts with ease, ike a Hot Knife through Butter! New Clutch with Throw Out Bearing. This transmission came from the factory mated to the engine described above!
The interior is all new with standard black vinyl, ew foam cushions with seat belts added. There is a console and Grab Bar. The radio is aftermarket with a hidden antenna. The radio has modern tech inputs. There is an after market Tach also. This is all topped by a beautiful Rosewood Steering Wheel. The car has New Hood, ront Fenders, ear Quarters, ull Length Floor Pan, n original Rear Spoiler. The Rally Stripes are Grey and are not Decals, hey were painted and Striped by the Paint Shop. The Rear End is a 3:73 ratio Posi-traction.
A wonderful car! I installed New BF Goodrich Radial T/A Tires with used beauty rings.
