Description for Chevrolet Other Pickups 1956

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION we have for sale a real good looking 1956 Chevrolet short bed pickup. It has several nice up grades, 50 engine, urbo 350 automatic transmission, ower steering, ower brakes, isc brakes front, auge cluster, ice black paint.

VIN 3A56N008178 the title does match the VIN plate.

TITLE: Clear title in hand.

HISTORY: I cannot tell you much, y car restoring friend from near Cincinnati found the truck for me.

MILES ON TRUCk: No documentation, e think it is 2044 since it was restored.

HOW ABOUT RUST ON THE TRUCK? I see no rust bubbles in the paint, o rust holes on the under side, heframe looks real solid. I do see a little rusty color metal on the under side.

HOW IS THE ENGINE? I hear no knocks, o rattle, o unwanted nosise, see no blue smoke. Its suppose to be a 350 cubic inch, cannot see the casting numbers at the rear of the block. Past owner said it was a 350 and it does have a factory Quadrijet carburater, o I beleave it is.

WHAT IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a Turbo 350, hats a 3 speed automatic. Its shifts good and I see no bad leaks. The shifter is the original column shift and works good for me.

WHAT THE THE REAR END? A very common 10 bolt with a highway gearing.

HOW IS THE PAINT? It has a brillant shine, e did go over it with a cleaner polish. Its a deep black enamel on a straight body when you look down the sides. I see no dents or big dings. The paint is slick, ut could be rubbed more in hard to get places. The tail gates looks very solid, can see some minor ripples, ut its better than most. Paint on my truck and most others is never as perfect as pictures make it look. Its nice paint, ust not perfect.

HOW IS THE CHROME? Bumpers look like new, rill very nice with no dull place and no rust.

HOW IS THE GLASS? The windshield look like new with no wiper marks and no stone chips. The side glass is good other than the right vent window, t has several ting pitted places. Back window is good.

HOW THE THE RUBBER WEATHER STRIPPING? Soft and good.

HOW IS THE INTERIOR? No new, ut good. Seat cover has no worn places or holes, t is a little wrinkled on the drivers bottom. The carpet is real nice, ead liner good, ainted trim nice, ut never polished. The inturment cluster is after market.

SPEEDOMETER WORKS! GAS GUAGE WORKS!

GUAGES ARE IN A POD UNDER THE DASH!

ORIGINAL RADIO IN PLACE, UT DOES NOT WORK!

HORN NOT WORKING!

HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK!

TURN SIGNALS WORK! BRAKE LIGHTS WORK!

INTERIOR LIGHT NOT WORKING!

WIPERS WORK MANUALLY, hat I mean by this is past owner has a lever under the dash to move right to left. They work, nd would be fine with some Rain X like most street rods use.

HOW DOES THE TRUCK STOP? To me it stops good! Disc have been added to the front, rums in the rear. A booster with dual master cyclinder added.

HOW DOES THE TRUCH DRIVE? It still has the straight axle front end, power steering box has been added. It drives OK for what it is, ut I would not say it drives good. Straight axles with leaf springs did not drive like todays trucks, ut the power steering is a good thing.
