Description for Chevrolet Corvair 1965
Either my father or I have owned this vehicle since 1977. It has been garage-kept since about 1990...father was restoring when he passed in 1992. Sat in my mother's garage until 2012. Relocated to my garage at that time, here it now sits. I have only done cosmetic clean-up, o engine work. As noted in condition statement, he engine last ran about 1998, nd we took it for a spin 4 or 5 times. My mother decided to relegate it back to the garage at that time (she couldn't drive it and we all lived away), nd that's where it stayed until 2012. The body is in very good shape, hough there are several nicks in the paint, ostly from cars that sat next to it in the garage. The interior is clean and looks very good -- "new" upholstery, ctually done in ~1998, ut never used since the car was parked after that. Looks new-ish. The trunk (front) has a good coat of gray splatter paint that was done at the same time the car was painted (1990?) and is in good condition. The engine compartment is probably the least-good-looking part of the car. It is not bad, ut needs some cleanup as well as, bviously, he work to get the engine running.
