Description for Chevrolet C-10 1970
Hello and thanks for checking out my listing. First off. I am not a dealer. used car sales. consignor. or wholesaler. This is my truck and there are no secrets and hidden agendas. Check out my feedback. as it is 100% positive and bid confidently knowing what you see is what you are going to get. nothing more. nothing less. With that said. this is an automobile and I would HIGHLY recommend that you SEE this truck in person before buying! I am located in Tulsa. Oklahoma and truck can be seen and driven in person anytime. Everyone has an opinion of what is Nice vs what is Perfect. etc. This truck comes with no warranties implied or otherwise. I will require a Non-Refundable deposit of $500. due within 24 hours of auction end. This is in place to protect me and my time and also gives you the chance to back out if it does not satisfy your idea of an acceptable 45 year old truck. This is a 1970. Chevrolet. C-10 Pickup. Short - Wide bed. with a 454 big block V8. Turbo 400 Transmission. Vintage Heat and Air. Posi Rearend that is black on black. Black exterior paint. Black interior with Red accents. To make a long story short. my father and I purchased this truck at a car show in 2001. He purchased it for me with the intention of me paying him back the next week. His "new" bride at the time decided she wanted it. therefore. he backed out of the deal he and I made at the time and it never made it to my house where it belonged. Fast forward 14 years. the "new" bride is no longer in the picture and the truck is now mine!!! So the story goes. Problem is. I don't have room for it. nor do I have time to drive and enjoy it and I am consumed with too many other projects and hobbies. My loss is your gain! This truck went through an extensive. frame-off restoration in the mid to late 90's. Everything was replaced and or repaired during this restoration. The exterior truck maintains it's stock appearance with a lowered stance and aftermarket wheels and tires. Under the hood is far from factory. As stated earlier. it now has a 454 big block backed by a Turbo 400 transmission. The interior was tastefully done with black carpet. black seats. headliner and door panels with red accents. The dash is all original with Vintage A/C & Heat added under. Everything works and functions as it should on this truck except for the horn (I have not pulled the steering wheel) and the speedometer. The speedo reads 8 mph fast due to the smaller tires. All glass. gaskets and weather-stripping on this truck is new of in great shape. Engine: 454 Big Block V8 Oval ported Cast Iron Heads 10-1 Ratio 7-1 Crane Rockers 750 Holley Carburetor (Manual Choke) Edelbrock Intake Edelbrock Water pump Hooker Headers New Power Steering Pump New Power Brake Booster and Master Cylinder New Spark Plugs and Wires Drivetrain: Truck has been lowered (do not have details or how much). I would guestimate it to be a 2" drop. Turbo 400 Transmission B&M Shift Kit B&M Transmission Pan Posi Track 3:73 Gear Ratio 15x10 Ultra Billet Aluminum Wheels 275x60x15 Tires (Brand New) Dual Exhaust (2. 5 Aluminized) w/Billet tips Exterior: It's obvious a lot of care and attention went into the restoration. as the body lines. door openings line up perfectly. Black base coat with multiple layers of clear. The belly of the cab and bed were coated. All lenses. bezels. glass gaskets and door handles were replaced or restored during restoration and are in great shape. Side marker lenses and tail lights have been blacked out. New keyed door locks have been recently installed. There are a few minor scratches and chips here and there. but overall the paint is really nice. Certainly not going to win "best of show" at SEMA. but still very capable of winning local car show events and being a very nice driver that you will not be afraid to drive. Bed is in overall really good shape for being 45 years old. with only a few minor dings and small dents here and there. Bed has a new Gator hide spray in liner. Interior: Paint matched tilt steering column and billet aluminum steering wheel (matches wheels). Cab was painted black to match the body and is really nice. The cab on this truck literally needs nothing. Seats. door panels. head liner. sun visors and carpets were all replaced during the restoration and still in great condition. The dash looks amazing and all the gauges work. We installed the Vintage Heat & Air to this truck about 5-6 years ago. This truck drives and handles incredibly! It is fast and ferocious when you want it and very calm and easy to drive when you don't and is very dependable. I wouldn't be afraid of driving this truck anywhere. This is one of the nicest C-10's in this neck of the woods and I hate to get rid of it. But it deserves to belong to someone who has the time and patience to treat it and give it what it deserves. Respect and Attention! I have a bunch of pictures that I will be glad to send to anyone interested. I will also post up some video tomorrow. Let me know if there are additional photos you want. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding! I will follow up with video footage of the truck in the next 24 hours. For serious inquiries and buyers only. please feel free to email me at dbrassfield@pacesetterclaims. comI do not need help selling my truck. so. if you are not an interested party. do not contact me.
