This auction is for a very solid 1968 Camaro RS/SS big block 4 speed coupe. The car is fresh out of the shop with numerous recent upgrades listed below. The body & paint . ngine and transmission were professionally done 5 years ago . the car has since been driven sparingly and stored in climate controlled garage. This car needs nothing and can be driven and shown right away. This car is a beast and a lot of fun to drive ! It is believed to be a real RS . e are in the process of finding the documentation from the original owner. the car is with its 3 rd owner now. ll 3 owners know each other. Engine: non numbers match 454 cid . 030" overbore/domed pistons/ oval port cast iron heads / CompCam hydraulic flat tappet 272 cam & lifters/ balanced & blueprinted rotating assembly/ Edelbrock intake / Holley carb/ MSD ignition/ Hi flow waterpump / Hedman headers/ Griffin radiator/ dual electric cooling fans/ FlowMaster mufflers/ 1 wire HD alternator. Engine was professionally built less than 1500 miles ago. it was rated at 475 HP at the flywheel. It is fully broken in. no leaks. no smoke. no noises and pulls very nicely. it will set you back in the seat when hammered. Drivetrain: Saginaw 4 speed rebuilt and upgraded components used when engine was built. CenterForce dual friction clutch has less than 1500 miles on it. Shifts very nicely. no noise. no popping out of gears. no leaks. Has a Hurst Competition Plus shifter. driveshaft was rebuilt & balanced. Has a 12 bolt posi rear with 3. 55 gears. The rear was rebuilt at same time as engine. Steering & Suspension: New springs front & rear. Prothane rear spring bushings/ KYB shocks/ new ball joints/ tight steering linkage/ all bushings are fairly fresh/ drives straight/ NEW power steering system just installed. Brakes: New power front disc brakes just installed/ rear drum brakes just rebuilt/ plumbing is fresh. Tires & rims: Brand new American Racing TorqThrust 15" rims/ Brand new BF Goodrich TA radials. alignment just done. Body & paint/Trim: Paint and body work was done professionally 5 years ago. car is very solid with no visible rust inside or out . Had complete rear quarters done. doors & fenders are original. Floorpans have been replaced. ery neatly done. Has a steel cowl hood. DSE electric hideaway headlight system installed. orks flawlessly. Body is straight. doors and windows open and close like new. No water leaks no wind noises. The paint looks good . till shines nicely. o oxidation. with no notable dents or flaws. Interior: Has brand new complete1969 style front seats w/ headrests/rear seat upholstered to match. New dash pad. New carpet. Brand new Classic Auto Air Perfect Fit AC w/ heat & defrost system. Brand new Hidden Audio 200 watt stereo system w/ Pioneer speakers. Brand new Autometer gauge package (see pics). As stated earlier. his is a "done" turn key car that looks . ounds. runs & drives better then new. It would cost double the reserve to build this car from scratch!
