Description for Chevrolet Cheyenne 1979

The heading says it all! My grandpa bought this truck new in 1979 and I bought it from the estate about six years ago. This is a one family owned vehicle and it's in really good original condition. It has spent most of its life in a garaged environment. It hasn't been driven much as it has 62960 original miles on it. I have too many vehicles and I don't use this one much and need the space. I would love to see it go to a great new home. When I bought the truck it had been sitting in a garage and hadn't been driven for a few years. Needless to say it needed a lot of work to get it back in shape. It isn't perfect and it still needs more work I'm sure but it drives like a dream now. There is some lifter noise when the truck is first started but it goes away after it is warmed up. The engine has some minor leaks. It has some dings, cratches and a few minor dents with some rust in the bed area. It has new tires (including the spare), ew headliner, ne mismatched window crank (the original is in the glove box), new piece of tailgate trim, ew rear taillight assemblies, nd the rest of the interior and exterior is original to my knowledge. The transmission was just rebuilt. The front brakes were redone and have new lines and master cylinder. It has mostly new hoses, ines, elts, nd filters as well as plugs, ires, ebuilt carburetor, tarter, uel pump, nd much more, nbsp; All of the work has been done (with $5600 in receipts) within the last 3 years and last 6000 miles. The AC isn't charged and is disconnected (not sure if it works). It has an add on cruise control unit that doesn't seem to work. It has a new main fuel tank and the auxiliary tank was drained and cleaned with new hoses. I haven't used the auxiliary tank much since the work was completed and not sure how well it works. The fuel gauge on the auxiliary tank doesn't appear to work. The radiator was just replaced but when it came was a little bit smaller than the original so it is mounted on shims to fit right. The interior seat has one seam that is coming apart and the dash has a couple of cracks. The camper shell will need a total restoration. The lights on the camper shell work off and on and it leaks so that the interior wood has some rot. The paint is original and dull in some places. The trim pieces will need new clips as some of them are loose. I believe that I have described everything as best as I can. I am not a mechanic but will try to answer any questions to the best of my ability. Overall this truck is in outstanding original condition. It really shines and gets a lot of attention. If you are looking for a great daily driver and or a really easy restore then this is the truck for you! No reserve!!! Serious bidders only please! $500 deposit due within 24 hours of auctions end with full payment expected within 3 days unless other arrangements are made. Buyer must arrange for transportation.
Thanks for looking and happy bidding!!!
