I have owned this car since 1992, I have personally known this car since 1981 when I was 18, I saw it trailered to the home of a neighbor. Over ten years later he sold me the car after some neck surgery and was instructed not to attempt to drive it (no power steering). The car was the same color when I 1st saw it back in 1981- the car has NOT been painted since prior to that. With a wash.wax- she looks great from 10 feet away- but up close the paint is very tired and cracks have formed. But what the hell for paint that old. I have done the show circuit and have many 56 Chevys that look amazing to say the least -until you look underneath them- then its a horror story. Its the same old crap- guys only do the paint n chrome and the cars foundation look like they are about to collapse.- I did the opposite- I hired a local restore shop owner before he was about to retire- and he did all the work-the photos will speak for them selves. I am a very honest guy and will be glad to answer anyones questions as honestly as I can- The tranny does leak a bit from the filler tube but that seals up after two weeks of driving- then the leak will stop and not return. It drives very well -I did notice a shimmy at around 55 mph last time I drove it but did not get it checked. again- glad to answer anyones question- but will not answer questions about the price. I think my reserve price is very fair bc I have watched many "project" 56 Chevysthat literally needEVERYTHING listed for 25K-

AFTERNOTE: I forgot to mention that the convertible top is in very good working condition and closes with no issues, however the actual top fabric needs to be replaced. Also- This car is the ACTUAL car used in Robert Deniro's Movie "The Bronx Tale" its featured in the Very Opening scene and much thru out the 1st half of the movie. Deniro, Joe Pesce and Chaz Palmetiri all sat in this car and loved it !!! ( I might have some Photos)
