Very Solid, Wonderful and RARE. Crazy straight.
Honest completely original 1938 Chevy 1/2 ton.
I found this truck 15 miles from my home, in the back of a garage. A member of our local car club was showing me a REO and a Hudson, This is what caught my eye! I bought it because it was so original, the running boards were perfect and the rear fenders were almost perfect. Normally these are banged up...All original incredibly straight steel!
The front fenders are have a few bruises but are better than any I'd seen in years.
It is missing the front bumper, the cab has a dent in the roof on the passenger side, the grill needs replaced or repaired and it needs glass. ALL Parts are available through Jim Carters or On-line.
I have a good windshield glass that I will pack carefully that will come with the truck
*The windshield cranks in and out like it should, the cowl vent operates up and down.
Floors are rust free and Solid. Doors open and shut tight easily.
216.5 Original engine. Original because the vin# is right on the block that matches the title.Does not run, I have not even tried to get it running. Original W-1 Carter carburetor.
Original 3 speed transmission.Synchronized in 2nd and 3rd gear.
I just sold a running, braking, driving 1937 Chevy for $16,000 on eBay in 24 hours. Right now with my work schedule I just don't have the time to get this one going. A Rare Chevy 1/2 ton find.37-41 Chevy 1/2 tons in this condition are getting very, very tough to locate.

I have located a straight, original front bumper for this truck. Matches the Patina of the rest of the truck. I would purchase it and include it with the sale IF the truck exceeds the reserve. (No I will not disclose the reserve, that would be unfair to all bidders). Jim
