All steel body series CB “Produce” pickup Stunning Forest Green with black exterior Saddle tan vinyl and Tobacco interior Fresh Oak Produce-bed floor and new stainless steel strips Chevrolet 207cid inline 6-cylinder engine Three speed manual transmissionMotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this handsome and rarely seen 1933 Chevrolet Pickup. Retaining most of its steel body, (the rear fenders are fiberglass) this isn’t a restomod, this very rare truck was restored and hand-built to its current glory from the ground up. 1933 was the year that Chevy sold their millionth commercial vehicle and this truck is a perfect representation of that monumental year.
In 1932 the only significant change for Chevrolet trucks was the change from an automobile engine to an engine specifically built for trucks. Chevrolet engineers upgraded the basic automobile engine with premium features. The truck was easier to drive too because of changing to a three-speed synchromesh transmission from a spur-type (non-synchro) unit. Double clutching was eliminated which increased driver efficiency. Chevrolet engineers continued to improve the 1933 Series CB Master Commercial models by increasing piston displacement to 207 cubic-inches and thereby increasing horsepower to 56 at 2750 rpm and maximum torque to 146 lb-ft. from 131 in 1932. Models offered remained at four–pickup, sedan delivery, canopy and panel.
Finished in a brilliant Forest Green, this all steel body pickup shows extremely well with only minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. The fenders and running board are painted a glossy black. The driver’s side mounted spare matched the other four wheels and tires. All the trim is present, complete and displays normal wear with a bright finish. The front with chrome bumper with over rider is extremely tight and finish is exquisite. The weather-stripping is pliable, with little or no signs of drying, tearing or shrinkage. The black vinyl roof has a tight fit with no noticeable wear spots. Fresh oak cargo-bed floor and new stainless steel strips, with an added piece of oak as a protective piece for the bed. The original 18 inch wheels present well with only slight signs of marring.
Inside, the Saddle tan vinyl bench seat that looks great. The exterior matching door panels and dashboard are a continuation of the striking exterior of the car and look fantastic. The door panels incorporate the same saddle tan as the bench seat.. The headliner is a dark tobacco vinyl. The original equipment The speedometer and fuel gauge are inoperable. The original equipped Chevrolet steering wheel (with wood horn button) is in great original condition and functions as designed.
This no expense spared built ’33 pickup is nicely equipped Carter carbureted 207cid Chevrolet inline 6-cylinder engine, three speed manual transmission, four wheel drum brakes. 18 inch Chevrolet factory wire wheels painted yellow to contrast the Green body with period correct wide whitewalls on all five tires.
It’s impossible to mention the all-time classic pickup models and not included the 1933 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup. The builder of this particular “labor of love” thought the whole design through, from the deep Forest Green exterior to the chrome center bumper overrider, all work together to make this the most correct ’33 Chevy pickup we’ve ever seen!… GET OUT AND DRIVE!
Current mileage on the odometer shows 22,914 miles, sold as is and is mileage exempt. The car is being sold on a clean & clear title.
