Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1983
** Barn Find, 1 owner, unmolested, rust free, original paint, never been in an accident! **
Here is a 1983 Chevrolet Z-28 Camaro that I purchased from the original owner. I chased the car for over a year before he would allow himself tosell it to me. He purchasedit new on 1/11/1984 with 4000 miles on the clock. Since then, it has only traveled an additional 83,000 miles. Back during the summer of 1999, the factory fuel pump gave out and stopped running. The owner put the car up in his moms garage thinking he would get around to fixing it.....he never did. Luckily he was smart enough to go over to her house 4-5 times a year and at least crank the car over to keep everything lubricated.
I purchased the car last spring, towed it home, and began work on making her roadworthy again. A factory replacement Denso pump / sock went into the tank after being professionally cleaned. Fuel lines were flushed, new fuel filter, and throttle bodies were cleaned. I also did a full tune up with AC Delco factory parts (plugs, wires, cap, rotor), Mobile 1 Synthetic oil change, radiator flush, new brake master cylinder, stock size replacement tires, Sears Gold battery. Car runs and drives like it should (still a 33 year old car keep in mind). I cleaned up the exterior (wash, wax, touched up rock chips), as well as spiffed up the interior. I am not a detailer, but 1 day with a professional will make this a show stopper.
As you know, collector cars are on the rise again. These 3rd Gen Camaros are the next to skyrocket. Hagerty values this car between $10,300 (#2) and $16,300 (#1), click here:

And that is without the knowing the originality of this car. The stock Cross-Fire injection system has never been messed with, so this one still works as it should. All smog pumps, EGR, emissions equipment are all there. Factory fiberglass hood w/functioning hood scoops. Most of these cars were driven hard by teenagers back in the day, and have not survived, that is not the case here. This was owned by a mature family man (now appx 60 years old) who only drove it on nice days, stored winters, and even took care of it once the fuel pump went out. I have driven the car a few hundred miles to confirm that this car is the real deal.
Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks in advance for looking.
