This 1966 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova doesn't have that problem because it looks perfect for cruising but when the time is right this coupe has also got the power to prove it's still an SS. The crisp Nova body has always been popular with hot rodders. Chevrolet made these sleepers from the factory and that attitude has served it well right into modern times. Rendered in extremely slick and fashionable metallic copper orange paint most folks take one look at the sleek lines and figure that it has to be customized but the truth is this is just the product of a quality restoration. Aside from the custom wheels the rest of the car is original GM styling. Even most of the trim remains intact including the rocker moldings grille and bright chrome bumpers front and rear. This SS is powered by Chevys 327ci V8 that runs smooth mated to its th350 3-speed automatic transmission that cruises easily through highway and city speeds. The paint on this car shows very well, and if you like people staring as you drive by, there arent many other choices for the job. The steel underneath is quite straight and shows off good gaps, showing that when the work was done, they took their time, and the clean, uncluttered lines of the early Nova will look good forever. Nice chrome, including the factory look grille with SS emblem and the Super Sport logos on the quarters, gives it just enough flash to get some attention as you go rolling past. The interior is extremely nice, however, with newer seat covers and carpets, all in correct red to fit the cars classic image. A SS center console has been added to help the interior design look a bit newer. Even in an SS, the gauge package was little more than the speedometer and fuel gauge, the steering wheel is an aftermarket upgrade that looks classic and great with a polish look wrapped in leather and chevy in the middle. A modern Kenwood AM/FM/cassette stereo lives in the dash and is ready to roll out your favorite tunes, as compact as this car is there sure is plenty of trunk space, even with a full-sized spare tire tucked up in there. This is a slick V8 SS thats ready to be shown off and enjoyed.
