Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1965
1965 corvette 396 425hp (not a clone) with 38,000 original miles, 4 speed, this is 1 of only 2100 only build coupe and convertibles built. L78 corvette is the first big block and 4 wheel disc brakes and side pipes. The engine is not original but is still a 396 just like factory. The car has power windows, power antenna teak wood steering wheel. Everything works perfect including the clock and radio. The car comes with a set of five knock offs (real deal) and a set of 17' American racing wheels. With the exception of the engine it is original. Only repainted once. I have the hard top for the car. The master cylinder has been changed to dual piston for safety. This car was stored inside and not drove from 1967 to 1995. I have copies of all the the titles to this car. The original owner of the car is still alive and confirmed the car to be a factory big block car and he Bought the car new at Sexton Chevrolet in Harriman Tennessee. This is one of the most rarest corvettes ever built. It's a car you can drive and enjoy that is sure going to do nothing but go up in value. The car has a small crack on passenger side front fender its really not seen easily with as nice as the paint is I didn't want to fix it. The car runs drives perfect. I have video of me walking around the car where I point out the small crack on the fender. car if anyone is interested. I just had the car aligned the shop said the car has all the original shims in it and he could not see any evidence of any wrecks. Any questions feel free to call me at 4058193204. I reserve to end the auction at anytime. On Apr-18-16 at 22:08:57 PDT, seller added the following information:This car sounds unbelievable. This car is fun to drive especially take-offs. This car will pin you back in the seat as the side pipes sound amazing pounding the pavement. It's no wonder the corvette L-78 (396) was the death of fuel injection. This car is what turned corvette into a real factory hotrod. I have a video doing a walk around with the car running. It as clean underneath as it is on top. This is a car with a lot of power. I've had 8 second drag car and this car still amazing to me how a 50 year old have this much power. Even today there are very few factory built cars with this much power.
