Description for Chevrolet C/K Pickup 3500 1988
I am selling my truck because I don't have time to restore it as I had planned when I bought it. I guess I got this truck about 2 years ago with plans to turn it in to something we had when I was a kid. My priorities changed and I don't want to continue so I am going to let it go. The shop which was working on it kept it most all of this time and never would hurry and work on it so I have not really had it at home hardly at all nor driven it. I have likely only filled the tanks 3 or 4 times since I have owned it. I have not even driven it like 300-500 miles. I got irritated with the shop that had it because it was never a priority to work on as I have several vehicles so, I demanded them to stop all work I had requested and finish the transmission install and give it back - I wanted to sell it.Here are some things I have done since I got it.
-All 6 new tires, don't even have 200 or 300 miles on them.-All 6 chrome rims were refinished.-Flushes, filters, plugs, wires.-AC repair, repair to electric aux fan.-Fuel sending unit replacement.-Replacement of driver broken window switch.-Power window repair.-Complete exhaust pipe replacement, new mufflers, nice chrome tips.-Retint of windows.-Instrument cluster modification, I added a factory tach and moved the fuel gauge to a small factory gauge. -Replaced the radio with an aftermarket Bluetooth stereo, I also have the face of course.-Replaced the original 3 speed transmission with a brand new 700R4 overdrive transmission with an automatically locking torque convertor. Transmission may not even have 75 miles on it literally. the transmission was just completed and I picked it up and decided to sell it.-Rear tail light replacement, now they are pretty slick LED's which flash quickly when the brakes first come on then they go solid. They also flash in succession when the turn signals are on. I have the original tail lights to give to the new owner so you may change them back if you like.-I bought some new big mirrors for the doors but never installed them. I was going to do that when the truck was painted so Ill give those too. -I bought a new dash which will come with the truck. I bought it to have a trim shop paint and install but, that isn't happening now. See pics.-Engine clean and detailed just last week to prep for sale.
Equipment/options:-454 Engine-Brand new 700R4 automatic, overdrive transmission with an automatically locking torque convertor.-Power windows and locks.-Cruise control-Tilt wheel-Bluetooth stereo-AC
Here are the things I am aware it needs:-The cruise doesn't work-I think the RR window is starting to stick again.-Window washers don't work, the pump failed I think.-The shop that installed the transmission wanted another delay on the dayI wanted it done after a month of notice and my final surprise was they didn't hook back up the speedometer to the new transmission. They needed a conversion kit which would "be in next week" and I blew up and took the truck anyhow so - the speedo isn't hooked up.-The check engine light comes on intermittently but really at random. I also never drive it so, I just didn't ever have it looked into. It is ODB1 and that is a pain in the ass anyhow since it doesn't save some codes for diagnostics.
I'm sort of sad to see it go but I have too many car projects right now so - something has to go.
