Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1974
1974 Chevrolet Corvette. 1974 is the last year of the true dual exhaust cars and the last year that catalytic converters are not required. It has a 350cu motor with a 4 speed Borg Warner Super T10 manual transmission. It has T tops and is a fun car to drive. The car is in good shape and runs. shifts and drives excellent. The interior has been 90% restored (with the exception of the seats. they were dyed however and are worn with some tears that have been repaired). The door panels were upgraded to the deluxe from the standard panels. The body is straight and has not been repaired. The areas where the factory bonding strips are there is cracking. It appears the majority of the paint is original . it is 40 years old so it has its share of chips. scratches etc…. The car is a L48 car but has been upgraded and badged as an L82. The engine/drivetrain is not stock but retains the stock appearance. It has a rebuilt stock distributor with an electronic ignition module installed. It also has an Edelbrock performer intake installed. The front nose (bumper cover) of the car is new flex fiberglass piece. The rear bumper cover is an original off (I believe) a 76 Corvette. It is in good shape with no tears but the paint needs attention (back cover only). Every gauge works on the car with the exception on the speedometer. nbsp; it stopped working the last time I drove it and I have not had a chance to diagnosed/work on the problem. This is a factory A/C Car. it needs a compressor but the system was updated from the VIR system to the modern receiver/drier R134a system. It is set up for a Sanden style compressor. I have a clear AZ title in hand for this car. New items on the car:All new tiresDash pad and dash matCarpeting Gear shifter and shifter linkagesGas tankPermanent/washable air filterFront brake calipersBrake rotors and pads (brake lines as needed)Heater control valve and heater hoseE brake cablesRebuilt alternatorRebuilt distributor/ with tach gear driveThe interior clock (YES it works)Under hood insulationRebuilt windshield wiper motor New headlight switchNew door. pillar post and rear door window sealsFront Bumper coverGlove box linerRadio and speakersSeat Belts (three point)Power door locks with Key FobA/C hoses and Drier and compressor bracket (for a Sanden style compressor)****** ***** The A/C system has been completely rebuilt. It was converted from the original VIR system to modern Drier/receiver 134A system. The compressor had a leak so it does not have a compressor. The system was flushed and is sealed. (the compressor did not fail or come apart so the lines etc . are clear)Drivetrain Info:Block:3970010 Produced from 1969 to 1979Block Suffix TKY - LS9 truck block. C30 (3/4. 1 ton).
