Up for bid is a very rare CALIFORNIA barn find a very clean and solid 1986 CHEVROLET K/10 4 wheel drive step side.STEPSIDES were all that was available for many years with trucks but by the end of the 73-87 Square bodies they were being fazed out as they were more expensive to build with the solid wood floor.Adding to thescarcitymost of the Stepsides were two wheel drive and not 4 wheel drive.As with any low production vehicles especially those collector cars from dry states like California these are the ones that will only go up in value in the coming years.

- This is one of many reasons that makes this truck extra special.

She is from a small town in Northern California that was originally a special ordered with a 5.7 Litre 4WD Stepside with Scottsdale trim.One of the cool things of this Bright White K/10 other than its super clean overall original condition is its minimalistic functional design.

- The body and paint is nearly flawless the original White been replaced with a much higher quality two stage PPG White with high quality clear that was not available in 1986.The body has never seen snow or salted roads and has never been exposed to any type of rust this is a very solid California example, the body has never been in a collision and is as solid and original as you will find in a 30 year old vehicle.

- IT is very hard to put a price on originality but if you are looking for a solid Nor Cal Survivor you have found it.This ranch truck has never been abused and it shows, the 5.7L 350 was replaced many years ago with a completely stock GM factory crate motor which fires up and runs great, because this truck was titled in a rural Northern California county it did not need to adhere to the Californiabiannually smog requirement as other more populated counties in the state. At some point the factory exhaust was replaced with duals and a Flow master with no catalytic converter so it does not adhere to current California smog regulations. Please check your current regulations in your state before placing a bid on this truck.The truck did leave the factory with Air Conditioning option and is still prepped for AC but when the engine was replaced the compressor was not.The truck has a complete Rancho Suspension with new springs and shocks

- The original bed wood was in very nice shape with the exception of one board that has showed its age, instead of fixing that one board the complete bed was removed and replaced with brand new Gold Mahogany with Stainless steel rails that looks absolutely fantastic, the sides of the bed were sprayed with a textured material that looks great.

.The truck retains its basic interior with the stock Scottsdale trim.

- The original “Blue” was retained but the upholstery was replaced with Blue Leather that looks great. Solid white metal roof no cheap GM headliner hanging down or non functioning power windows if you need to put the windows down you gotta crank it, no cheap GM carpeting on the floor just easy to clean GM vinal that still looks brand new. You wont see cheap glued on appliques that do nothing but fall off just the basics that work and look great.

This original California example is truly a one of a kind
