Description for Chevrolet Impala 1963
Chevrolet seemed to make the best hardtops of the 60s. They are legendary for being cool, comfortable, and powerful. This 1963 Chevrolet Impala has all the right features of an icon with a few upgrades to the gold standard.Impala coupes are highly collectable because the wide chrome grille up front, and the broad six taillight arrangement, are both icons of the 60s. These cars are not as chrome heavy as other full-size coupes that had come before them, which makes each piece of brightwork an appreciated styling touch. It's especially true on this car where the bumpers have been nicely re-chromed. But what really makes this a standout is the paint. A special gold with plenty of metal flake has that bright pop in the sunlight that will make you want to enjoy every weekend behind the wheel. This car is meant to show off, and that's why you have extra large 17-inch iconic American Racing Torq Thrust alloys. They tuck under the fenders nicely while making a bold statement.Impalas are great coupes to collect because they have the cool pillarless hardtop style that make them an instant classic, and at the same time, these full-size Chevys comfortably fit plenty of friends. So when it comes time to carry everyone on a cruise to dinner or to get an ice cream, do it in style with the brown vinyl seats that have comfortable coordinating inserts. The pattern nicely matches the door panels, carpeting, and headliner for a great uniform appearance. Sitting behind the wheel feels like a time warp, with the proper Impala center cap on the two-tone wheel that matches the exterior color scheme. Plus, the wide speedometer is a great hallmark of the era. By then your senses start to notice that this might be more than just a cool cruiser. After all, the center-mounted factory tach and upgraded Hurst ratchet shifter are some nice performance pieces. You might want to grab your sunglasses before popping the hood. The valve covers, air grabber, radiator shroud, alternator, master cylinder, and many other components have a mirror-like shine. But beneath the flash is the substance of an enhanced big block V8. The 348 cubic-inch motor has been upgraded with a high rise cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. This car was made to announce its presence with the glasspack dual exhaust with manual cutouts. But while this coupe has a great presence with its great paint and a terrific rumble, it was built to be a driver, too. The motor is backed by an aluminum radiator w/electric fan to keep the big block cool even in traffic; the rear end was recently rebuilt and now has a thick anti-sway bar; and the front disc brakes even have drilled and slotted rotors. Add these upgrades to the power steering, three-speed automatic transmission, and the grippy Goodyear Eagle tires, and you soon realize what an impressive package this classic coupe really is.This is the Impala that looks great on the outside, is comfortable on the inside, and upgraded to be a true all-around driver. A classic of this caliber doesn't stay with us long at this affordable price. Call now!!
