Really nice 1965 Nova SS. Nice driving car. The engine is a 350 CID paired with a 700R4 transmission. It has a Road Demon 625 carburetor. Vintage air conditioning. Church Boys Racing upper and lower control arms. Flaming River tilt wheel steering. Church Boys Racing power steering with front steer arms. Engineered Cooling Products aluminum radiator with dual fans. Electronic DIP switch fan controller. Car has been completely rewired with AAW update wiring kit. New speedo, tachometer and 4 way gauge. Nice new Yokohama tires with Cragar SS wheels. Notice the decorate caps! Optima battery with trickle charger. New Powermaster 150 amp alternator. Holley fuel pump. Very nice black vinyl interior with rebuilt front seat springs and foam. Seat belts installed front and rear. New shocks all around. New springs and bushings in rear. Perfect launch cover over a GM 12 bolt posi rear end. Restoration sound radio with MP3 plug in. GT mat sound deadening under floors. Front disc brakes. Totally rebuilt rear drum. New fuel line. Mild street cam. Dual exhaust.History of the Car: The Nova Super Sport came as a Sport Coupe only, and its production dipped to just 9,100 cars. The 1965 Chevrolet Chevy II and Nova were updated with cleaner front-end styling courtesy of a fresh full-width grille with new integrated headlight bezels. Parking lights moved down to the deep-section bumper, and sedans gained a new roofline. Taillight and backup lights were restyled, as was the rear cove. The 1965 Chevy II came in entry-level 100 form or as the posher Nova 400, each in three body styles. Super Sports had a new brushed-chrome console with floor-mounted four-speed manual transmission or Powerglide automatic, but a column-mounted three-speed manual remained standard. Bucket seats wore textured vinyl trim, and the dashboard held ammeter, oil pressure, and temperature gauges. An expanded engine lineup gave customers six power choices of the six-cylinder or V-8 engines; the four-cylinder was available only in the 100. But, for Chevy II enthusiasts, 1965 is best remembered as the year the Chevy II became a muscle car.
This particular Nova was began restoration about 10 years ago. It was painted 8 years ago. I finished it this spring. The car runs and drives exceptionally well. I only entered one car show and won a trophy. This car does not drive like a 65 as it has the Church Boys Racing upper and lowers along with their power steering. It drives easy and smooth. The brakes are strong and potent. This car is a little loud with a nice rumble to it. Mild street cam gives it a nice attitude. Quick, nimble and fun.
The paint is 8 years old. There are chips, light scratchings and other very light defects. I have a can of touch up paint. Everything works. Driver's window is a bit tough to get up. No rubber leaks known on any glass. Only about 1500 miles on the engine. This car, as shown in the pictures, is a real head turner. Since posting the pictures I noticed I did not provide a trunk picture so I added it. I also noticed I used an old dash pic. The new dash pic is included. The change is that a four way (fuel, oil, temp, voltage) was put in replacing the original gauge. You can still have the original gauge (provided). The reason it is not used is because the ammeter requires an ammeter shunt. The new gauge reports volts and not amps.
I am also providing a close up of the radio. In one picture it shows an alternator bracket. The correct picture shows the March Alternator tensioning rod in place. Everything else is unchanged.
