Up for sale we have a 1969 Chevy Caprice. This is a true Surivor Car that retains a lot of factory paint. The best we can tell it's a true southern car with most of its life spent in TN. We have some of the paperwork dating back to the late '70's. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the Caprice. Down the side the panels are straight and solid. The fit of the doors, trunk and hood is very good. All the body trim lines up well as does the chrome. The bumpers are good as is the window trim. This Caprice has the factory frost green paint that's accented by the green vinyl top that is in very good condition along with the trim. To give it a more modern look it's sitting on a set of 17" and 18" Chrome Wheels with low profile tires.
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the '69. On the inside it looks like it did when new. It has cloth seats with the vinyl trim. The seats show some aging, but the carpet has been replaced. When you look at the dash everything looks stock. As a whole the interior is in great condition considering the age.
Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it's powered by a 350 V8 that looks like it did in '69 with some freshening up. It has the stock breather and valve covers. Also, it retains the stock manifolds. This is a Factory AC Car and it's all there. It also has Power Steering and Power Brakes with drums on all four corners. The trans is a 350 Turbo that's mated to the 10 Bolt Rear End. Underneath this Caprice the floor pans are rock solid as is the frame.
