Description for Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1955
Classic automobile collectors & aficionados alike will most certainly agree that over the last 60 years the Tri-Five Chevys top the list as the most popular American cars of all time. Given this fact, it makes sense that the market is inundated with all types of 1955-1957 Chevrolets. Over the last 16 years of selling high-end classic cars, I have had dozens of Tri-Five Chevys come through and very few of them really got my attention. That being said, when this amazing machine arrived at my store, my jaw hit the floor & my heart started thumping though my chest!
‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is thrilled to offer you this award-winning 1955 Chevrolet 210 Sedan Custom, a one-of-a-kind Custom Chevy that will excite even the pickiest of collectors! This spectacular vehicle comes from a private collection in Northern Utah known for building the highest quality cars in this part of the country! This outstanding ’55 Chevy took home ‘Best Paint’ & ‘Best Interior’ @ the ISCA finals, sitting alongside (5) other Tri-Five Chevrolets w/ over $500K in each! This is a no-expense spared build of the highest order, so unless you are looking for the finest 1955 Chevrolet 210 Sedan available, this car is not for you. It all started with a complete rust-free 1955 Chevrolet body which took quite some time to find, and then the professional rotisserie build began. The bodywork is second to none w/ countless man-hours spent making sure that all of the body panels fit perfectly & all gaps were meticulously aligned. The paint is a custom blend of Orange Pearl & White Pearl, which looks absolutely amazing on this car, & all of the chrome & stainless trim is show quality throughout w/ a mirror-like finish. Again, it took home ‘Best Paint’ @ ISCA alongside some truly amazing vehicles! I want to mention that everything on this car is brand new including: glass, trim, moldings, weather stripping, door seals, bushings, etc., everything is 'NEW' with no used parts whatsoever! You can walk around this car a hundred times and never find a bad angle! Underneath you’ll find an Art Morrison Chassis w/ Wilwood 2” Drop Spindles, DSE ‘Detroit Tuned’ Power Rack & Pinion Steering, Strange Custom S/S Axles, Strange 9” Ford Center Section w/ 3.70 Posi Gear Ratio, Wilwood 12” Disc Brakes, custom stainless steel exhaust system, and Billet Specialties Fast Lane wheels (17” up front & 18” on the rear) wrapped w/ brand newB.F.Goodrich G-Force Radials (245/45/ZR17 up front & 275/40/ZR18 on the rear). Let me tell you, she sits perfectly with a stance that’s to die for!
Open the driver’s door and you will find an award-winning custom leather interior that is simply the best! Features include: beautiful tan leather throughout, including front seat, back seat / door panels / kick panels / rear package tray & headliner, an original painted dash (body color) with chrome trim, Classic Instruments gauges, power windows, chrome steering column w/ leather wrapped Billet steering wheel, Billet door handles, Billet window cranks, Billet pedals, Vintage Air Conditioning & Heat w/ Billet vents, electric parking brake, front & rear seat belts, & hidden AF/FM/CD/Bluetooth custom Pioneer sound system. All gauges, lights, blinkers, Air Conditioning, etc., are in perfect working order! The supple fully adjustable tan leather seats are the most comfortable that I have ever felt in my life! It does not matter whether you are short or tall, you will fit perfectly inside this car. Again, she took home ‘Best Interior’ @ ISCA and for good reason, as it is simply the finest interior that I have ever seen on a Tri-Five Chevrolet! The trunk was completely finished in matching tan leather throughout which looks spectacular!
Now let’s get to the heart of this amazing machine!
Open the hood and nestled inside the beautifully detailed engine bay you’ll find a new LS3 6.2L crate motor from Turn Key Performance, completely dressed up w/ Billet components throughout, including Billet hood hinges, braided stainless steel lines, one-off custom stainless steel headers, custom stainless steel exhaust system, & a one-off custom built thermostat controlled radiator w/ dual fans. Please look closely at the photos of this gorgeous motor & engine bay and you will see the time & money that went into this build! This beautiful LS3 motor is linked to a new 4L70E 4-Speed automatic transmission. Both engine & transmission were tuned & dynoed by Mark McPhail @ McPhail Performance, a retired GM engineer who was flown in from California for the tune-up. This ’55 Chevy starts, idles, runs, drives & performs flawlessly in every way and has loads of power & torque! Your head will snap back when you apply your right foot firmly and she shifts tight & precise just as you would expect from such a car. She is by far the quickest & fastest Tri-Five Chevy that I have ever had the pleasure of driving! The power rack & pinion steering & 4-wheel power disc brakes make driving around town effortless, and when you get her out on the highway she tracks straight & true w/ no vibrations or rattles whatsoever. Most importantly, she runs nice & cool even in 100 degree plus desert weather! This car was built right with nothing left untouched & nothing left to chance.
This is a one-of-a-kind show car that will win First Place trophies at any national level car event, but you can also enjoy driving it to the show if you so choose, without any worry of reliability. Again, this stellar 1955 Chevrolet 210 SedanCustom is not for the buyer who is looking for a cookie cutter ’55 Chevy, but for the avid Chevrolet fanatic who only wants the best of the best!
