Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1969

There are a million reasons to love the 1969 Camaro, but this cool blue Z/28 takes them all and adds a bunch of performance to the mix, including a Cross-Ram induction system. Beautifully restored, highly detailed, and yes, it's a real MacNeish-verified code X77 Z/28 with a DZ-coded engine, so it definitely deserves your attention. Some cars get overlooked, but nobody's going to miss this stunning Dusk Blue Z/28. Sure, it was originally code 61 Burnished Brown, but nobody's going to argue about that particular change in the pedigree. '69 Camaros look especially good in dark colors, and with the cowl induction hood and crisply applied white Z/28 stripes, the effect is spectacular. The restoration is extremely high-quality, with a fantastic shine to the finish and super straight bodywork befitting a car of this caliber, and you're not going to find many flaws, no matter how hard you look. The legend is big, so you'd better go big when you restore a Z. It was restored pretty much the way it was delivered, which includes the shiny wheel arch moldings and gill inserts on the quarters, the aforementioned cowl-induction hood and standard chrome bumpers. And speaking of the bumpers, they're beautifully restored so they sparkle against the shiny blue paint. This is a really impressive car.The no-nonsense look inside is the heart of the Z/28's mission: performance first. Fortunately, performance was also stylish in 1969, and the bucket seats wear reproduction seat covers that are pretty much the way they were when it was new. The whole effect is very OEM and you'll almost be afraid to climb into those beautiful bucket seats for fear of wrinkling them. This Z was ordered with a center console and optional auxiliary gauges, which are popular today for all the right reasons, and the 4-speed shifter has a proper chrome knob, not some aftermarket thing. The gauges, including a correct AC tach with a 6000 RPM redline, were restored with the rest of the car, and it appears that just about everything else is new, too, including the door panels and headliner. The only notable modification is the AM/FM/cassette radio in the dash, but that's a harmless upgrade in a car like this. The trunk is only a reproduction mat away from being totally correct, so spend the few bucks it takes to get one and take this car up a notch. The Z/28's 302 cubic inch V8 really needs no introduction, and this is a correct DZ-code block that's been detailed for show and fitted with the dealer-installed cross-ram intake system and dual 4-barrel carburetors. The distinctive air cleaner setup still inhales through the original cowl induction setup, but it gives the 302 one heck of a mid-range punch. From the oversized pulley on the alternator to the battery to the factory emissions system, it has all the right parts to make this a winner just about anywhere it goes. Reproduction hoses and correct tower clamps plus Chevy Orange paint give it an authentic look, along with the handsome finned valve covers that were a Z/28 trademark. The chambered exhaust system sounds amazing and makes the most of the cross-ram setup's high-RPM potential. The chassis is as highly detailed as the engine bay with only a few signs of use, and factory Rally wheels look great and carry 235/60/15 Goodyear tires. The Z/28 is a smart investment, with values inching up steadily year after year. They're also a blast to drive, embodying the best of the muscle car era and injecting a much-needed dose of handling. With cool colors and options, this unique Z/28 is an awesome find. Call today!
