Description for Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1956

For sale is a 1956 Chevrolet 210 Handyman Wagon located in our Indianapolis Showroom. The Chevrolet 210 series was the mid-range model for Chevrolet from 1953 to 1957. There were a few different body styles produced including 2 and 4 door sedans, 2 and 4 door coupes, convertibles, and 2 and 4 door station wagons. The "Tri-Five" station wagons have become very popular over the years for collectors and enthusiast alike, especially ones restored to the level as this one has.

This awesome '56 210 Handyman Wagon underwent an extensive 5 year restoration that was built to keep the classic styling yet add new technology for reliability and performance. Everything on this car was either replaced, refinished, or upgraded and the workmanship is remarkable. As many original parts were used as possible including all the stainless trim and chrome parts. This 1956 Chevrolet 210 Handyman Wagon is powered by its Fuel Injected 5.3L Vortec V8 engine, backed by a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission, running to a single-pull rear end with 3.70 gears. The 5.3L V8 has a LS1 intake plenum added along with Sanderson Headers running out to a dual stainless steel exhaust system that sounds absolutely amazing. Options on this 1956 Chevrolet 210 Handyman Wagon for sale include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with CD Player, Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, Aluminum Alloy Wheels, and Radial Tires. This car was brought back from Phoenix, Arizona and then completely disassembled, taken down to the frame and the body was put on a rotisserie and sanded down to bare metal. It was then painted in a "Hot Huse" Dragon Fire Red and Leaf Silver color. To make a more streamlined appearance the divider trim on the sides and the rear "V's" were removed. The fins on the hood mounted "bird" were also removed and the front and rear bumpers were changed to smoothies. The interior is also just as impressive with a two-tone red and grey theme throughout matching the exterior colors. The factory bench seats were retained and covered in leather as well as the door panels, the center line of the dash was marbleized for a custom touch, and a "Dakota Digital" VHX gauge set was put in to monitor the vitals. To improve the overall ride and driving experience the front was lowered with 2" drop spindles and a leaf spring pocket kit in the back with coil-overs. The steering system is a rack and pinion, power steering setup with an "Ididit" steering column and a "Flaming River" steering wheel. The braking capabilities are handled through a power four wheel disc brake setup that will slow you down in a hurry. This car also comes with a folder full of receipts for the build as well as photo documentation of the build process. If you are looking for a great performing wagon that will also win you trophies, this is it!
