Thank you for looking! Selling my 1951 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery that is in very original condition. She still has the original engine. transmission and differential. Starts every time and has never let me down! This is not a 100 point show car but is a very presentable driver quality vehicle. At the shows and swap meets this vehicle gets more attention and comments than the vehicles that are being judged! This Sedan Delivery went through an above average frame on repaint and redo in 1994. The engine was rebuilt then and has approximately 9872 miles on it. the transmission was rebuilt during the same time. and the differential was drained. cleaned and serviced. The floor pans are not rusted through and are solid. No rust through on the body mounts either. The frame and under carriage were not restored and could stand to be cleaned up/ repainted. Also. in the following when I say last year I mean with in the last 500 miles. Drive Train: Engine serviced last year. oil changed. tune up. starter and generator cleaned and oiled. oil bath air filter cleaned and filled. valves adjusted. and carburetor rebuilt (still has original tag). Transmission drained. cleaned. refilled. new transmission mount installed. nbsp; linkage adjusted and lubricated. Differential drained. cleaned. refilled. Suspension: Steering rebuilt in 1994 and is still in great condition. Does not wander when driving. New shocks all around last year. and rear leaf springs greased. Tires are Firestone. look like original bias 2-ply. Spare has matching tire and the original jack. and tire iron are included. That's right. the original jack!Brakes: Brakes rebuilt in 1994. New master cylinder installed last year and system bled. Emergency brake works and hold strong. Electrical: All new cloth wiring harness installed in 1994. Every thing electrically on this Sedan Delivery works like it should. Even the Deluxe Radio works as well as the glove box light. dome light. and the heater blows strong! All new dash bulbs installed last year. Like I said. if it is electrical it works just like it should. You name it. it works!Glass/Rubber: Glass replaced in 1994 and is date stamped October 1951. All glass is very nice! All rubbers. and seals are still soft and pliable. No rips or cracking. Window felts are still fuzzy too. Interior: New interior installed last year and yes. those are the original bucket seats! New head liner and door panels too. I chromed the windshield trim. the front door trim. and the rear door trim. The radio bezel is chromed. the glove box is chromed. the clock housing is chromed too and the clock does work! Steering wheel is a Deluxe and I do have the original steering wheel. Body. Repainted in 1994 using Ditzler Lacquer. Paint has held up well with the exception of the chips mentioned earlier. Paint still shines! The paint would probably last for another 20 years with the proper care. All stainless is very nice and not dented. All chrome is bright. no dents. no pitting or scratches. Hard to find one that has the original. undented stainless trim. Door handle rubbers are all new. Center trim piece on hood is chromed. Accessories: This Sedan Delivery has a few! I will list the original accessories first and the reproduction accessories second. Original: oil filter. visor. vent wing breezies (made in Pawhuska. Oklahoma). gravel guards. hub caps. (and check those out!). nbsp;flashlight and holder. Chevrolet Owners Manual. Chevrolet black leather key fob. Guide traffic light viewer on dash. and the pedal cover on the head light dimmer switch. The rear expandable license plate holder and the Stop Ray bracket are original too. Reproduction: radiator overflow can. headlight eyebrows. all 3 mirrors. ( I have the original inside rear view mirror). the working fan on the dash. the tissue box under the glove box. the coat hooks behind the cab doors. the chromed brass Cadillac door lock knobs. and the gas pedal cover. I bought this to keep until my time comes and have cared for it over the past three years. I have put a lot of time. effort. and money into it because it was going to be my "Keeper". I wanted it to be reliable and that is why I did every thing that I did during the past year. It is time for Jette as she is called to go to a new home and a new owner.
