I bought it in a no running condition and I have put a lot of money into this to get it where it is today. This is not a 55 cab set onto a newer chassis. This is the original chassis and behind the cab the frame was notched and another frame was welded in place to make the frame longer and more heavy duty. The rear axle is a "dually" with four rear wheels and tires. The spring stack is large so it can carry a heavy car/truck if needed. Rear wheel drive. It has a fresh rebuilt 350 motor. fresh rebuilt carb. brand new battery. all the wiring gone through and cleaned up. new paint job and some body work. the front bumper is new. the front grill is new. new door handles. new glove box. new ignition and keys. installed mirrors on the doors. all the glass is good with no cracks. windows roll up and down. she does not get hot when driving. no leaks. Tilt steering wheel. Power drum brakes front and rear and stops great. It has a good clutch and 4 speed trans. it also has a 2 speed hi/low gear box that allows you to run all 4 gears in hi or all four gears in low. The bed has hours of welding into it to make sure it is secure. we welded gussets. tabs and hooks to the bed so you can secure down a load. We welded expanded metal to the ramps so the car/truck your hauling can be loaded in any type of weather and the tires will not slip on the ramps. One side of the bed has a big box with a door for storage of straps and tools. It comes with a spare tire and wheel too. It has a place for a ball in the rear if you want to pull a trailer. The winch works great and has a switch outside of the bed for the operator to control the cable that allows the car up or down when loading. The tires are in excellent shape and have 80-90% tread left on them. All the headlights and tail lights work. brake lights work and we installed some new running lights on the bed and they all work. You can jump in it and drive it where ever you need to. We went through all the fluids. changed the oil and serviced the rear diff and trans. What it needs. I would install a carpet kit and some gauges to complete this truck and maybe have the seat re upholstered. It has the original gauges in it now and none of them work since the truck has been converted over to the new 12 volt system. It needs a oil press. engine temp and fuel gauge. The truck works great with out gauges but it would be nice to have them. I just carry a extra 5 gallon fuel jug with me when driving incase it runs out of fuel but it never has cause I just keep it topped off all the time. That's all it would need if you want it complete but it runs and drives just fine the way it is right now. I have a good clean and clear 1955 Chevy TK title in hand.
