Originally assembled on May 4, 1965, this BODY-OFF RESTORED 1965 Corvette L76 Convertible comes with desirable power brakes, and took home the prestigious NCRS Top Flight Award in both 1988 and 1996! This highly documented car's paint looks to be a recent high quality job, and is vg with a great shine. Convertible top looks to be newer, and is vg as well. Side glass shows correct date codes. Chrome bumpers and exterior door handles show a recent finish, and are vg-exc. Weatherstripping is fair-good, and taillights are vg. Knockoff style wheels are vg with good-vg spinners, and BF Goodrich Lifesaver A/W medium whitewall radial tires show an average of 8/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of this 1965 Corvette L76 Convertible shows vg seats, dash pads, and center console, good-vg gauges and carpet, and good condition steering wheel and GM seatbelts. Door panels are in fair condition, and the glovebox lid is exc. Correct appearing AM/FM radio is in place, and a center console cupholder has been added. Clock is currently working with a quartz movement. The numbers matching L76 engine in this car shows original casting date May 5, 1965, and final assembly date May 7, 1965. Correct air cleaner, carburetor, intake manifold, ignition shielding, valve covers, radiator hoses, and hose clamps are all in place, and the engine has been nicely detailed. Frame is solid and rust-free. Included with this car will be the two NCRS Top Flight certificates, previous owner history dating back to the second owner in 1970 with copies of most bills of sale, judging sheets, records and receipts dating back to 1977, and Mid America assembly manuals. This car as been fully serviced, and all instrument gauges, lights, turn signals, brakes, engine, transmission and rear-end are all in good operating condition.
