Description for Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1962
1962 Chevy Belair 2dr, sound familiar ? Yea, there a lot of these for sale out there, all of them bagged, big brakes, big wheels, stock interior, original paint, and oh yea, an LS motor and overdrive. If that is what you are looking for, this is probably not your car, but if you like clean mild customs and bad ass hot rods, then you need to look at this car. It's been nosed, decked, fully dechromed, both bumpers narrowed and tucked, frenched Vette tailights, shaved handles, custom moulded side exit exhaust, custom aluminum tube grille, and then covered in mile deep tu-tone 2 stage paint! Like I said, it isn't stock. Now, open the doors with remote door poppers and slide in to a brand new 60's style rolled and pleated ultra vinyl interior. New carpet, New door panels, New headliner, 65 Impala rear seat, Toyota reclining bucket seats, 64 Impala center console, Custom woodgrained dash, New VDO guages, "Flaming River" tilt column, "Billit Specialties" custom steering wheel, power side windows, Vintage Air, Kenwood 4 speaker sound system, and a complete New "Ron Francis" wiring harness. Like I said, it isn't stock. Now, lets look at the " hot rod " part of the car. It starts with a nicely detailed smoothed up engine compartment surrounding a 402 big block Chevy engine, with an Edelbrock intake manifold, Edelbrock 750 cfm carb, MSD electonic ignition, Accell plug wires, Griffin aluminum radiator, a " lumpy " Comp Cams solid roller Camshaft, roller tip rocker arms, Sandersen block hugger headers, 2 1/2 " aluminized custom exhaust system with Magnaflow stainless mufflers. It sounds incredible! The rest of the drivetrain consists of a built Turbo 400 trans, B&M 2800 stall speed convertor, stock rear end ( 3:23 gears ). The rear is suspended on Ride Tech air bags and kept in line with Strong Arm tubular control arms. The front suspension has been totally rebuilt with new parts and 3" dropped coil springs, along with power steering andpower 4-wheel disc brakes. Finally, the Belair sits on 17x7 and 17x8 " ET " 5-spoke wheels from Team III Wheels and Nitto 450 performance radial tires. I have put over 9000 miles on this carso far, including a recent 1000 mile round trip cruise to the NSRA Nats North in Kalamazoo, Michigan. So, if you want a tastefully customized 62 Chevy Belair with a " hot rod " attitude, then consider this car! Call me if any questions, 1-515-494-8572, ask for Keith.
