Looking for a rare late model C3 Corvette? With 4 speed? Solid. low mile Cailfornia car?I have for sale a 1981 Corvette 4 spped(only 5. 75 of 40. 06 built were 4 speeds. and none in 82. ). And. this is an original BLACK on BLACK car(only 4. 12 wer painted black. don't know how little were black/black)The car was acquired through a private collection. The owner had needed to redo the brake system back in 1991. parked it in the garage. and it sat until this last year. The original paint needed to be redone. but there was no damage on the car. accident free. So there is a nice fresh new paint job on the car. The weatherstrips are new. The interior is in very good condition overall after replacing the seat covers with new ones and also replacing the carpet. The rest is original. There were a few professionally repaired dash cracks. The car has what appears to be an untouched original engine. The exhaust is original including mufflers and tailpipes! The AC needs attention to blow cold. Gauges all work good except the usual clock not working. The frame and undercarriage are California clean. no exposure to salt or severe weather. The windshield had a large chip so that is brand new. And of course the brake calipers and brake pads have just been replaced. Please look over pictures for details. The previous owner did some minor changes which can easily be undone:1) Custom steering wheel2) DIN radio cutout--we have left open hole to let the new owner decide if they want this or original. 3) Wheels--most likely this came with the factory aluminum wheels which we don't have at this time but generally become available regularly.
