Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1979
I have for sale a 1979 Camaro. I bought the car from a gentlemen here in North Carolina. The gentlemen I bought it from was selling it to purchase some property. It was his baby for the last 7 years and was very sad to see her go. The car originally was purchased years ago from Texas and brought to NC. It was used as a daily driver but for the last seven years has pretty much been a race car/hot rod. He had a 383 stroker motor in it then he went with what is in it now, a 454 big block with a recent build. Here is the list for what he done to it, as well as my opinions of the good and the bad.
THE CAR (the good)
-New brake calipers
-Duel Exhaust/Flow masters
-New brake lines
-New rotors
-Drag lites
-New front tires
-1968 Camaro front bucket seats
-Auto meter Tachometer
-Pro-matic floor shifter
-Undercoated some years ago
-The car was painted 7 years ago, not bad but the top needs to be redone. (see pictures)
-New wind shield
-Electronic fuel pump
THE 454 ENGINE
-Steal crank
-Flat top pistons
-camshaft (not sure of the specs on it)
-New mini starter
-Pro Comp distributor
-Assault Intake manifold 1800-4500 rpm
-396 Heads angle port, also ported and polished
-High end stainless steal headers
-Eldebrock Carburetor
THE TRANSMISSION
-350 Turbo Trans
-B&M shift kit
-Red Eagle Clutch Pack
-B&M Trans Pan
-1800-2200 Stall Converter
THE REAR END
-373 gears
-Stock axles
THE BAD
-The car is a beast so you know the deal, she needs tuned up, timed, as well as tinkered with. All the things that go along with having a car like this.
-The gentlemen I bought the car from said the rocker nuts are backing off so those need to be adjusted.
-There is minimal rust but does have some bubbling below the doors. (see pictures)
-The passenger seat needs to be bolted in
-The interior is descent but does need some work, some of the gauges don't work
-Rear tires are dry rotted and one side rubs. (easy fix)
-The hood will not close if the air cleaner is on. It will have to be modified.
Ok, I can sit here and nit pick the car all day, but I wont. She is a great foundation for a street car. If you are into these cars then bid away. I am an honest seller so please be and honest bidder. As all ways all my cars are reasonable and fair priced so my reserve is LOW LOW!
Bid Away!
