Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1975
I bought this car from the original owner, he was 80, about 3 years ago and have color sanded and polished it to better than new.I have a clean and clear TN title in my name.It runs and drives great. Brakes are good, stops straight. It has Power Steer and Brakes and an aftermarket AM/FM Cassette. It is NOT an A/C car.It has aftermarket, added, Power Windows and Power Antennae. The car still has the original red paint however, the black was repainted when the original owner added the L-88 style hood. The black paint looks good but was painted in a high gloss versus the factory "low gloss" used on RS cars. I do have the original hood as well. Now for the GREAT parts:
There was only 7,000 RS cars produced in 1975 as it was a mid year introduction. Not many of those were Type LT's and even fewer in Red/Black color scheme. This really is a rare car.
The car has 20,819 original miles. NO RUST EVER! The trunk and under carriage is like new.
The car was originally a 350 4-spd but the trans was later changed to a built Turbo 400 (needs a pan gasket as it is now 35 years old) to handle the additional torque added from the B&M 144 supercharger. (running about 6 PSI of boost but can get a smaller top pulley to increase to 8 PSI) Additionally, the numbers matching 350 was rebuilt with forged internals to handle the boost and a "blower" cam was installed. This IS the original engine.
He also added a early 70's style horse shoe shifter. He used the factory console to put the shifter but I have another Automatic style console and 75 model automatic shifter as well which is included.
Also added was Rancho suspension system, mainly front and rear sway bars.
the factory 2.53 gearing was replaced with a 3.73 Posi Unit
Headers through dual exhaust, boost gauge.
Western Bullet wheels from the late 70's that are like new. I put the tires on the car and they have less than 200 miles on them.
This car is a J C Whitney catalog on wheels as he added about everything you could back in the 70's:
Rear Defogger, Rear Louver, Power Windows, FM Signal booster (that still makes me laugh) electric antennae, MSD box and Master Blaster Coil and so on.
The car is as if it was in a time capsule and must be seen to understand how nice it really is.
Interior is absolutely great although the headliner is sagging.
Whatever was removed for upgrades (intake, carb, hood, wheels, rear Diff chunk, timing chain and cover, cam etc...) I have the original equipment stacked in the garage.
I have this car for sale locally thus I reserve the right to end this auction at any time.
No Zero feedback bidders please. If you have feedback of less than a 5 please contact me prior to bidding or I will cancel the bid. I am on here to sell this car, not play games. Please only bid if you have full intent and are capable of following through with the purchase.
I will require a $500 deposit through PayPal within 48 hours of auction close and full payment within 7 days of end of auction. I would expect either cash but if a cashiers check is all you can do it would have to clear all funds before the car leave my possession.Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer but I will assist in anyway I can. This car will not leave my house until it is completely paid and all funds have cleared. I will expect the car to be picked up in a reasonable time frame but I will store the car a 3 or 4 weeks, after payment, if needed but time is of the essence.
Please contact me with any questions before bidding and I would encourage you to inspect the car beforehand as it is 40+ years old.You will not find a nicer 75 un-restored Rally Sport. On Oct-21-16 at 18:49:06 PDT, seller added the following information:
There are a few spots on the car where I got a tad aggressive with the buffer as shown on the pic of the door. I also thinned the top paint to where you can see the primer around the quarters. It is not as bad as the door pic but I sure didn't want to touch up the original paint.
On Oct-22-16 at 06:06:23 PDT, seller added the following information:I added a picture of the thin paint on the quarter panel wheel opening. Both sides are similar.
