Description for Chevrolet El Camino 1985

This auction features a 1985 Chevy El Camino Conquista. It has 125,289 miles on a 305 cu.in. V-8 coupled with an Automatic Transmission. Both engine and transmission work really well and do not have any apparent problems. The vehicle comes equipped with PS, PB, A/C (needs a condenser) and a Delco (Original - Stock?) Radio / Cassette Player. The interior is in excellent condition with the Silver Grey Plush Bench Seat showing no signs of rips or tears. There are a couple of minor stains on the Silver Carpet, but nothing serious. The carpet is in good condition, also with little to no wear apparent. The headliner is in good condition and just needs to be attached to the roof in that it is sagging, slightly. Both Door Panels are free of any rips, tears or stains. All the Gauges work and the Dash Surface has 2 small cracks. All the Chrome is in excellent condition... especially the Bumpers! The Front Bumper is free of any dents and dings and is very bright and shiny. (One of the Bumper Guards has a small amount of surface rust.) The Rear Bumper is also in good condition but it does have a couple of minor dings above the trailer hitch. The Grille is perfect with no broken or cracked vanes. All the Glass is good with no cracks or chips. The Wheels are, I believe, custom wheels that came with the 1985 Conquista. At any rate, they are stock Chevrolet and are in excellent condition. Tires are like new! The bed is free of rust and has no major dents. In the bed, there are 4 eye-bolts, one in each corner. (Motorcycle tie-downs?) As far as rust is concerned, it is mainly on the rear quarter panels just behind the rear tires. There is a small amount of rust ahead of each wheel and a couple places where the rust was fixed, previously, but it is starting to bubble. (I have tried to show the rust areas in my photos.) All the rusted areas that are evident on the truck have been fixed in the past and are now starting to show through. However, the remainder of the bodyappears to be in excellent condition with no major dings, dents or rusted out areas that I have found.
I am selling this truck for the following reason: When I bought it I knew that it had an Illinois Salvage Title. However, I spoke the the previous owner that bought the truck in Illinois and he assured me that it had no apparent damage when he bought it. We thought, perhaps it was a theft recovery. With this in mind I planned to part it out. However, after driving it home from the previous owner (over an hour away) I determined that the truck ran just fine! It ran straight down the road even with my hands off the steering wheel. It braked good and did not have any rattles above and beyond a 30 year old vehicle! I inspected it very closely and cannot determine any prior damage and therefore, I want to see this truck restored and driven! It is too nice of a truck to part out!
I am starting the bidding at $2,500.00 with No Reserve!
