Description for Chevrolet Chevelle 1967
Hello Fellow Ebayers, Let me start by saying this is a car that I thought I would never put up for sale and have turned down some very good offers in the past when at GoodGuys Car Show in Scottsdale Arizona, Super Chevy California and Pomona California but now the time has come to reduce the collection, owned for 25 years and you would have a hard time to find one this nice as California solid rust free again with all the options and full document paper work including the original Pennsylvania Title when ordered and purchased new by the original owner who was a friend of the family. He special ordered this car from Wiggins Chevrolet in Lancaster Pennsylvania. while serving in the Military in Viet Nam on November 26 1966 and it arrived on January 9 1967 and while the short time there the car was never driven in bad weather and always garaged. They then moved to the dry state of Alabama in 1970 where they used it as a daily driver until the gas crises started in late 1973 when they put it up in dry storage and purchased a new VW Bug to drive, and as time and things happen in life there the Chevelle stayed in storage until 1986 when they decided to bring it out and get it running and driving again, the original Lacquer paint was starting to show some spider cracking and they decided to send it out to be repainted by one of the best Auto paint shops in the area in the original Factory ordered color of Marina Blue and what a nice job they did as this is the paint job from back then and it is still like new and so nice today that you would think it was done a year ago that is the care this car has always been given over the years, they only drove the car to special events like car shows and cruises for about another 4 years and then again it went back into dry storage and after a year there this is when I came to be able too purchase this great car after hearing they where considering selling it and my Father ask if I would be interested in purchasing it since I always liked these cars growing up and at this time I am living full time in Southern California and my Father and I with car trailer in tow arrive in Alabama to take deliver of it and return to California to start a full ground up restoration even though it did not need it but I wanted it to look brand new as when purchased in 1967 and when time allowed from working a full time job (except paint that was and still is in excellent condition) it took me two years to complete and anything that needed rebuilt or replaced inside or out was done with factory NOS parts, I also found a very rare and added this NOS original AM/FM 8 Track in dash Radio that was made to fit these cars without cutting anything with very nice sounding stereo 5 speaker system and I added Power Windows, Tilt Steering, Disc Brakes and the factory Gauges from another 67 Chevelle parts car that I purchased and added the extra heavy duty F41 handle suspension front and rear with heavy duty station wagon springs to give it that 60s area look also with the flip of the switch that great cruise night electric exhaust cutouts for that nice sound. It has the original rebuilt matching number 396 engine with nice sounding cam and Headers, Aluminum Manifold and Holly Carburator with pointless Distributor setup and the factory M21 close ratio 4 speed Transmission with factory Air Conditioning, originally came ordered with the 307 Posi Rear End setup but I replaced with a factory new 355 Posi Gears and special ordered 16x8 rear and 16x7 front all polished American Racing Mag Wheels. This car always draws a crowd where ever it goes. I have since retired this year 2016 and live part time in the state of Maryland where I have brought the car back here and is in storage climate controlled garage. I have the factory original parts in dry storage at my West Coast home if interested that came off the car the original Red line tires, with the Wheels and Dog Dish Hubcaps, original 307 rear end gears, original Manifold with Carburator, Duel Exhaust Manifolds and AM Radio all in excellent condition. You can fly in and drive this car anywhere that is how well it runs and drives, I restored it to enjoy look new have fun with be dependable and that is what it is. I can transport delivery on my own single car automobile trailer in person to the buyer for a fee within the USA when driving back to California next month in November or can advise of a Auto Shipping company to transport. Please no pay pal accepted, money transfer or cash in person only, the car and California Title that is in my name will not be released until the full payment is due, also the car is for sell locally and I can cancel the auction at anytime. Car is almost 50 years old with sale in as is condition and no warranty expressed. If you would like to call me for any questions or information please do so at (760) 508-8405 Thank you, Eddie. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!
