Description for Chevrolet Chevelle 1966

1966 Chevrolet Chevelle 300 Deluxe
Listed for sale is my 1966 Chevelle! I have owned this car for around 8 years and the car has been garage kept for the entire time I have owned it. This car is a true cruiser!
* Passed Full Delaware DMV Inspection. Good until end of December! (Blinkers, headlights, brakes, wipers, windows, and horn all passed)
*Please read the entire listing for all details. Thanks!
* $500 deposit required within 48 hours of closing
*List of upgrades*
* 454 Engine - Professionally built Brodix Oval Port Race Rite heads (additional bowl blending was accomplished) The heads also had upgraded springs to match the additional lift from the cam shaft. The engine also has an Edelbrock 2162 - Edelbrock Performer-Plus Cam and Lifter Kit (Duration 292/302, Lift .500/.500). The heads have roller rockers and I installed Manley Pushrods which are some of the best rods on the market. Lastly, the engine has had the rear main seal replaced and also a Milodon Street/Strip Oil pan keeps the oil in position and flowing. The original pickup was also replaced with a Milodon pickup.
* Tremec TKO 500 Transmission - This transmission is smooth as silk and makes the car even more of a dream to drive around town. I ensured that I utilized adjustable bellhousing location pins and used a dial indicator to guarantee that the bellhousing and crank are concentric per specs. This is something that most people overlook with these transmissions and then complain about their shifting characteristics. Keeping all the power flowing I used a Centerforce Dual Friction Cutch/Pressure Plate kit. This set up has less than 500 miles on it since installed. The Flywheel was also upgraded with a McLeod Billet Steel flywheel.
* Rear End - Original 10 Bolt rear with upgraded Moser Axles, Richmond 3:36 gears, Eaton Posi.
* Suspension - The rear trailing arms were replaced with adjustable PST Billet Aluminum Trailing arms. The remaining suspenion components are stock.
* Power Steering
*Power Disc Brakes
* MSD wires, Accel Distributor, Pertronix Flamethrower coil/Ignition Module with rev limiter
* The best part about this car is you can have fun right away or you can restore it to your liking.
I am including some additional parts as well. The car never had a fan shroud but I recently purchased one and have not installed it. Also, I have a new body mount kit and new trunk seal. I also have the rubber trim that goes on the side of the car. The trim is older and has some inperfections but its all there.
* This car has many other upgrades including, wideband air-fuel ratio gauge, upgraded poly motor mounts/trans mount, new driveshaft, re-wired tail lights, cd player with rear speakers(no forward speakers) recently primered paint job (epoxy primer). The floors were replaced by the previous owners. They are solid but they built their own floors so they are certainly not perfect and I planned on installing correct floors and supports in the future. But that would have taken away from the fun! The floors are perfectly fine as they are with an exception of the transmission patch pan. The Tremec is much larger than the 4 speed it replaced so I had to cut a portion of the floor out and install a patch pan from Tremec. Because I never drive the car in the rain and planned on replacing the floors I only fastened the patch pan with self tapping screws. The pan is secure but not water tight. Also, I would like to note that the primer paint job looks much better in the pictures than upclose. You are still able to see a little body work when it gets in the light. But overall it serves its purpose of keeping it from rusting away which is why i painted it. The frame is solid and overall the body is fairly straight. There are tons more I could say about the car but if your interested seeing it in person is recommended. Its likely that I have forgotten numerous upgrades but the bottom line is this car is a driver and it has been built with the best parts money can buy. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a time to stop by and check it out please call or text me at 757-537-7447. Thanks for looking!!
