Up for sale we have a 1966 Chevy Chevelle SS. This is a true 138 Vin Super Sport. It has undergone a frame off resto to be restored to factory specs with the All Original Drive Train. This is a factory Black On Black car with Buckets and Console. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior or the Chevelle. This is a frame off resto with pictures of the work done. Down the sides it's laser straight with great fit of all the panels. It has the correct SS Hood and Trim. The body is covered in the factory Tuxedo Black that has a deep rich shine that's slick to the touch. All of the jams look as good as the body. Looking at the trim it was all either replaced or cleaned and polished to look like new. The bumpers were replaced along with other new chrome. During resto all the glass was removed and the windshield was replaced. The rest of the glass looks correct and is in great condition. New window seals and felts were installed before the glass was put in. All the weather stripping was also replaced to ensure a good tight fit of the doors and trunk. The final touch is the set of Black rims with the stock dog dish hub caps and set of red line tires.
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the Super Sport. On the inside it's done to the factory specs. It's done in Classic Black with the Bucket Seats, Console with working clock, and seat belts. This Chevelle sports the correct lock out shifter. When the seats were recovered the door panels, carpet, and headliner were also replaced. When you look at the dash it's all correct with the gauge pack instruments and knee knocker tach that all works. Also, you'll notice the Rose wood steering wheel along with the factory radio.
Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood this Chevelle is a blast from the past. Everything is detailed to original specs and the drivetrain is all original. The engine is the matching numbers 396/325HP that's mated to the original M20 Muncie 4 Speed and CF Coded 3:31 Posi 12 Bolt Rear End. The 396 is painted orange with the correct chrome valve covers and breather. This Chevelle comes with Power Steering and four-wheel drum brakes. The exhaust flows through stock manifolds and dual exhaust. When you look under this Super Sport all the floors are solid with no signs of any rust. Everything has been detailed with the floors and frame painted black.
