Description for Chevrolet Nova 1966
1966 Chevrolet Nova SS L-79 327/275HP 4 Spd. as verified by Chevy Expert, Jerry McNeish ! Fresh top to bottom, gorgeous & perfectly restored ! " End of the year SALE so make a realistic offer & this cool Nova could be yours !!! "
The most interesting portion of the 60’s Muscle Car explosion was the release of the all new smaller sized “Pony Car” segment lead by the Ford Mustang in 1964. It took everyone by storm & soon GM followed up with their all new Chevy Nova Coupe. It was a very successful car from the start & was offered w/many original Motor options. This example we have just acquired is a fabulous ’66 Chevy II Nova SS w/a factory optional L-29 Corvette 327/350 HP motor backed by a Muncie M-21 4 Spd. transmission w/a 12-bolt 3.31 rear end. This beautiful Nova was traded in by Mr. Roy Sinor, the 30+ year veteran NCRS Corvette Judge & was in his personal collection. Roy stated that Jerry McNeish documented this Nova as a real factory L-79 matching # motored Nova SS for Barrett Jackson's 2016 Palm Beach sale this year. For those doubting this...Barrett's does not ever say "matching #'s" unless its a fact & Jerry is their expert ! It’s a fantastic optioned car w/quite a documented history. Its Cowl Tag states its was born Regal Red w/a matching Red bucket seat interior. Its options include Tinted Glass, Rear Antenna, Comfort & Convenience package (back up lamps, inside night mirror, outside mirror, 2-speed windshield wipers and washers & a glove box light). It was special ordered with the potent & rare L-79 matching # motor having its codes date this to the 15th day of October from the Flint Mi. plant stating it is a true 327/350 HP w/manual from new. Known history from the early 1980’s were from the Ft.Lauderdale/Hollywood Florida area in which we are located. During its early years it was drag raced locally with a Ford 302 motor in it as its owner was smart enough to save all of its original motor & all componants prior to its full nut & bolt restoration years later. It was featured in Musclecar Review magazine from April 1992 prior to its full body-off restoration. Its restoration was done w/no expense spared during the late 90’s by its then current owner, Mr. Ted Bojer. Today she shows a very low 33K original miles & she is one of the finest all original restored Chevy II Novas in the world. Its great colors & its current near perfect condition make it high on many fans “bucket list” & this Nova will not disappoint the pickiest collector. Do not miss this opportunity to own 1 of the rarest & finest examples in existence. We will be adding more documentation by Monday the 5th including titles showing its actual mileage as proof.
