UP FOR AUCTION TODAY IS A HIGHLY OPTIONED 1979 SCOTTSDALE C10 SHORT BED PICKUP WITH 114347 ORIGINAL MILES.THIS SCOTTSDALE HAS ONLY HAD 2 OWNERS AND BOTH HAVE BEEN RIGHT HERE IN ROANOKE VA.
IT'S FINISHED IN IT'S FACTORY COLOR OF MIDNIGHT BLACK WITH CARMINE RED INTERIOR.
STILL HAS ORIGINAL L-78 15/B SPARE TIRE WITH ORIGINAL CARRIER STILL UNDER THE TRUCK.
IT HAS FACTORY 350 ENGINE AND 350 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. ENGINE RUNS GREAT ONCE CHOKE WARMS UP AND TRANSMISSION SHIFTS PERFECT.
HAS POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES.
THE INTERIOR IS IN GREAT CONDITION HAVING HAD NEW CARPET, DASH PAD, AND DOOR PANELS. SEAT WAS RECOVERED SOME YEARS AGO IN ORIGINAL PATTERN AND STILL LOOKS GREAT.
ORIGINAL AM RADIO STILL INTACT AND WORKING. IT WAS ORIGINALLY AN A/C TRUCK BUT FIRST OWNER REMOVED THE COMPRESSOR AND RECEIVER DRYER AFTER IT WENT BAD. LOOKS LIKE ALL OR MOST OF THE BRACKETS AND WIRING ARE STILL THERE INCLUDING CONDENSER.
TRUCK HAS BEEN LOWERED APPROXIMATELY 2 INCHES FRONT AND REAR. HAS NEW 255/70/15 TIRES JUST INSTALLED ON THE FACTORY RALLY WHEELS.
ORIGINAL RALLY CAPS AND TRIM RINGS AS WELL.
HAS NEW BRAKES AND BRAKE HOSES ON THE FRONT AND NEW BRAKES ON THE REAR.
LOOKS TO HAVE A NEW MASTER CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER AS WELL.
DUAL EXHAUST THAT EXITS IN FRONT OF REAR TIRES.
TRUCK HAS HAD ONE REPAINT IN THE MID 80'S STILL SHOWS PRETTY GOOD FROM 50 FT.
TAILGATE IS ORIGINAL AND RUST FREE.
ALL THE CHROME IS ORIGINAL, INTACT, AND IN GREAT SHAPE.
FLOOR PANS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO RUST.
I HAVE RAN A MAGNET OVER THIS ENTIRE TRUCK AND THE FOLLOWING IS WHAT I HAVE FOUND.
CAB CORNERS AND ROCKERS ARE SOLID WITH NO RUST.
BOTTOMS OF BOTH DOORS HAVE SOME RUST BUT NOTHING ALL THE WAY THROUGH.
LEFT SIDE IS OVERALL RUST FREE EXCEPT FOR BOTTOMS OF FRONT AND REAR FENDERS AT THE REAR OF OPENING. THEY HAVE BEEN PATCHED WITH FILLER AND PAINTED. I HAVE PATCH PANELS I WILL INCLUDE.
RIGHT SIDE HAS SOME MINIMAL RUST BUBBLING OVER RIGHT FRONT WHEEL OPENING. BOTTOM OF FENDER AT REAR OF OPENING HAS BEEN FILLED AND PAINTED. I WILL INCLUDE PATCH PANEL.
RIGHT REAR FENDER LOOKS TO HAVE VERY MINIMAL RUST AS WELL. HAS A HOLE ABOUT THE SIZE OF A DIME. I HAVE FELT INSIDE DRAIN HOLES ON BACK SIDE AND DON'T FEEL ANY RUST.
RIGHT REAR AT BACK OF WHEEL OPENING HAS ALSO BEEN FILLED AT THE BOTTOM AND PAINTED. I HAVE PATCH PANELS I WILL INCLUDE.
HOOD WAS REPLACED WITH NEW AFTERMARKET. HAS BEEN PAINTED BUT HAS DIRT IN IT.
OVERALL THIS IS A GREAT LITTLE SHORT BED ORIGINAL TRUCK WITH VERY MINIMAL RUST. IT RUNS GREAT AND LOOKS GOOD. WOULD BE AN EXCELLENT CANDIDATE FOR A RESTORATION, RAT ROD, OR SHOP TRUCK PROJECT. OR JUST JUMP IN AND DRIVE AS IS.
IT RUNS GREAT. WITH A COUPLE PUMPS OF THE GAS AND A TURN OF THE KEY IT STARTS RIGHT UP AND RUNS ALL DAY WITHOUT ISSUE. IT RUNS STRAIGHT DOWN THE ROAD AND STOPS AND STEERS ON A DIME.
TRUCK HAS ALSO JUST PASSED VA. STATE SAFETY INSPECTION AND IS READY TO GO TO A NEW HOME.
