Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1994

This is the 1994 ZR-1 #375 that was originally used by Chevrolet as their Long Lead Press Car for 1995. This ZR-1 was based at GM's Milford Proving Grounds and it was there that they converted it to the 1995 model so it could be used for (1995) automotive magazine shoots. test drives. cars shows. etc. It was on the cover of Road and Track. Motor Trend and several other car magazines. All of these magazines will be included with the car. It is also the car that is on the cover of Anthony Young's book 'The Heart of the Beast'. I will also include numerous inter-office communications (pre-email) between Chevrolet and the Milford group. It will also come with some documentation from different writers who drove. tested and photographed the car. After putting 11. 00 miles on the car. it was converted back to the 1994 configuration. GM then gave the car to Kerbeck Chevrolet to recondition and sell. This was in 1994. The wheels and tires were replaced and the door windows were warrantied and the car was serviced. From there. an engineer whose company developed the ZR-1 braided fuel lines purchased the car from Kerbeck. He put about 3. 00 miles on the car over the next three years. I purchased the car from him in 1998. There entire car remains in excellent condition inside and out. It still runs the same as the day that I bought it. There are no chips in the windshield and no delamination. I put 12. 00 miles on it over the last 16 years. It's always been covered and garaged. It's only been out of Texas once in those 16 years and that was to go to the 50th Corvette Celebration in Nashville / Bowling Green in 2003. I have quite a bit of documentation (including the original GM title) that goes with the car which makes it even more collectable. There aren't many 'rare' ZR-1 ones out there. and this is your chance to own one at a very reasonable price. The car has low mileage Michelin Pilot Sport tires and wheel alignment. It just passed Texas emissions and has a fresh synthetic oil change (every 1000 miles). The car also has few other nuances unique to only it-except for a few one of a kind cars at NCM. The car has only the painted roof as it's original owner. GM North American Operations. only needed one because it was a test car. It has all the original equipment including Owners Manual. video. sets of keys with fobs. It has one ZR-1key chain. To my knowledge. everything works properly on the car and it has no mechanical problems. This includes the engine. transmission. clutch. differential. u-joints. suspension. steering. A/C. stereo. windows. body and interior. The car is exceptionally clean underneath as well. It has a new. proper Delco battery and new OEM fuel pumps. I have the original battery if you want it (the originals have been superseded). All that being said. this is a used car and comes As-Is. I want to represent it exactly as it is. If you are truly interested. I can providefurther photos. I. like most people are rather busy. the main reason I'm selling the car. and have no time for 'tire kickers'. I drove from Texas to Rhode Island to buy this car sight unseen in 1998 (and trailered it back). I would have been quite upset to find it 'not as described' and Ihave that respect for you. The car is Almost completely stock. I've done three modifications to the car and all three could be changed if you wanted. First the car is lowered 3/4" in the front and 1" in back. Second. it has a Hurst shifter. Lastly. it has Dana 4. 10 gears. I did all this work at the same time and while apart. I replaced the clutch with a new OEM unit. The car had 16. 00 miles on it at the time. These modifications make the car more pleasurable to drive and I will include the original parts with the car.
