Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1976
Selling a Silver Mist Blue Corvette automatic. The car has brand new calipers, pads, and lines installed. New rubber gas lines were installed on top of tank and new mufflers had been replaced at that point when I had to cut them out to install new gas lines. I also installed a new fuel pump and lines up front. The Body:The original color was burgandy when new from the assembly line. At some point someone resprayed it this pretty color blue and you would hard-pressed to tell it wasn't original. The only spot I found was under the headlight brackets under the car, which you would never see. There is one stress crack near the front passenger side of the hood as seen in the picture, and there previous owner said he pushed up against a snowbank in his driveway and did damage to the front driver side fender below the marker light. You can see the repair if you get under the car and look up at the backside of the marker light, but you can't tell from standing beside the car since it was fixed at the body shop. The paint is beautiful on this car, and I wish the pictures did it justice. The Engine:I would have to say that many years ago, one owner added a dress-up kit using LT1 valve covers and painting them Chevy Orange. The car starts right up and idles fine. The carb could probably use a rebuild, and I have new AC Delco plugs in the box for the winning bidder. It still has the factory exhaust manifolds and AC components. I had to remove the AC condenser in order to get at the fuel pump, but I will hook it back up by the time it rolls away. The radiator has a leak, so I picked up a brand new aluminum radiator that comes with the car. I haven't had time to take it apart, as it is a little involved. I do have the exhaust tips and was trying to get to Meineke to see if they had a connector to use on the 2 1/2 inch FlowMaster mufflers I installed. The Interior:Saddle interior is all factory and seats are in great shape without rips or tears. Carpet and headliner is also in good shape and not in need of anything. The radio is something I never used and I don't believe it currently works. It might be as simple as a fuse, but I will look into it in the days to come. Car has power windows that work properly and so does the tilt-telescopic steering wheel.I don't have to get up and feed it, so it will remain in the garage and be driven when I feel like enjoying her.90eight-2five6-19seven5 Matt.
