1969 SS L78 X66 396 375 hp M22 4-speed project up for for auction
Original SS Camaro, no console, no spoiler, paint code 57, fathom green with white stripes and black standard interior. This car is complete and I have driven it in the past. However that does not mean that you can drive it home. The car rolls but is not running at the moment. Needs the electrical installed to get it going. It still has the original M22 and BU rear axle. The motor is the matching number 375 hp engine and it has been professionally rebuilt. Brand new GM Power Disc brakes, original interior, bumpers, trim etc and the original rally wheels.
This car started life up north but never saw rain while owned from 1971 to 2001 when I purchased the car stored away and was not being used, which is where I found it. It has a virgin body that has never had body damage or bodywork of any kind. It has the original quarters, floors, trunk pans, doors, fenders, inner and outer wheel wells, rockers.
This 69 Camaro is a one hundred percent factory correct and is the cleanest first generation Camaro I've ever seen. I had this car professionally stripped and painted 14 years ago and it looks like it was painted yesterday. I started finishing it and I have had it in temperature controlled storage ever since. It will need to be completed and only needs about 60 estimated hours to complete it. I have every part to complete this car including a brand new stainless steel chambered exhaust system, all new dated correct glass, polished NOS trim, new wiring, the 58k mile interior (headliner is still in the car and in good shape). All parts are original, date coded or NOS.
I have some documents and a open NY transferable registration in hand. I have personally invested over $70k with receipts in this Camaro. Loss of storage and lack of extra time to complete it creates this opportunity for someone else to own it.
