Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1970
For sale is my real 1970 1/5 Camaro Z/28. I bought this car 5 years ago from the second owner who bought it in 1972. This car was in his garage when I found it and complete. I purchased it with the intent of doing a complete restoration and got as far as dis assembly and placing it on a rotisserie. The person I bought it from sold it to me as a matching number vehicle but after further investigation I found it has a CE replacement block with a date code of L70. I believe he did not know it was a replacement block until I showed him the CE number and date code. The engine is a beautiful LT1 that turns over and has all the date coded original parts including exhaust manifolds. carburetor. air cleaner and distributor. The only aftermarket part is an edelbrock intake manifold that was added by the second owner. Behind the highest rated HP 1970 LT1 is a M20 four speed with original shift linkage. Front clip is solid with Z28 aluminum stoppers as seen in photo. core support has common rust/rot in lower portion and the radiator that came with the car is not original. To complete the drive train is the original 12 bolt rear end with 3. 73 gears. For the interior. this Z/28 is an early 70 1/2 build with small headrest and blue interior which compliments the original mulsane blue paint color making it the best color combination for the camaro in 1970 in my opinion. This car is bare bones badass with no center console from the factory and no RS option this car was optioned with only one thing in mind. the LT1 power plant which was the most expensive option for the camaro. The interior is complete but seats need to be upholstered. The carpet was thrown away but all the seat belts. sun visors and the dash pad are in good shape. I took a picture of the original gauge cluster which is also Z/28 specific. As for the exterior I highlighted the positive which there is a lot and also presented where the car needs attention to present my camaro to the best of my ability. Both lower rear quarters and trunk drop offs need to be replaced in addition to the lower rear valance. The frame rails are solid and the rest of the trunk is in good condition as noted by the photos. The trunk opening is in great shape and the decklid is also very solid but has a couple of extra holes from the second owner placing the later. larger spoiler on the back. I have an original small rear spoiler for the car. The rear window opening needs attention due to rust and rot around the opening which is very common. The roof is solid and dent free. The floors are solid as seen in photos with original pain still visible but need patches at foot area of both front sides as noted in pics. Original paint is visible on front firewall. I have both inner fenders that are definitely repairable needing minor patches only. I only have one solid. complete front fender for the car. The hood is in great shape but has holes from aftermarket hood pins. Upper and lower front valance solid but front valance has minor dents. Grill has some missing slots but has original Z/28 badge. All lights are nice and intact. I have many photos and have described my camaro to the best of my ability. It is a beautiful. rare car that is worth restoring. It will be made a roller for easy transport to anywhere. If bought locally the camaro can be transported on the rotisserie with proper bracing on a flat trailer or wrecker and the rotisserie which is well made and well balanced will come with the car free of charge. This car is being sold with a BILL OF SALE ONLY. There is no option for bill of sale in the mandatory pull down in the listing which is why it says "title clear" but again being sold with a Bill of Sale only. Many States don't require a title on older vehicles but it is the buyers responsibility to find out. Shipping is also the buyers responsibility. My car is sold "AS IS" but I am available at any time after 8am and before 9pm eastern time to answer any questions. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. I have a good rating and want to keep it that way. My number is 508-254-8039 and my name is Nick. I require payment in full prior to shipping/pickup. I accept Cash or cleared bank check before shipping. Good Luck! This is a great project car!
