Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1965

Real 65 365HP A/C convertible. One of 113ish producted in 1965. I've owned this car the last 17 years. It was a complete car when I bought it andwas sitting in the same spot since 1980. This car was in the Houston area most it's life and was repainted black some time in the 70's. Original color is Marlboro maroon. I do not have the original wheels, but do have the hubcaps. It will come with the cragers seen in the pictures. Also missing are the original exhaust manifolds and original block. Everything else is either on the car or boxed up (see pic of shelf in my shop). The car has a CE (Chevrolet exchange) block, but the rest of the motor is original. I have a correct dated stamped block that precedes the build date by 2-3 weeks. This and the donor cowl section will go with the car (see pics). It's a soft top only car (I have the frame as well). The body is 100% original and has never been off. It will need a new drivers rear quarter and there is a small crack in the passenger quarter. Also some separation of the bonding seam on the drivers front fender at the top of the wheel well. The cancerous rust is in two locations. One spot is the bottom of the frame (pic attached) right below where the battery sat (several decades while parked). The second area of rust is the bottom corners of the windshield and part of the "Z" bar on the drivers side. The "A" pillars are solid with some pitting towards the bottom. The frame looks bad due to being undercoated early in it's life and there's surface rust on it. Also the undercoating is peeling off everywhere. Absolutely a restorable frame as the rotten section under the battery can be sectioned. For those that know windshield frames, you do not have to take the front end off to replace this. This restoration is not for the faint of heart, but will be a great car once completed. Feel free to call me (713-805-3962) or email me if you have any questions. I sold my 66 on here in October and unfortunately the buyer never responded. However a local person did buy it and is doing great work getting it restored. The nice thing is this 65 is worth a lot more once restored than the last one I sold. The 65 is for sale locally as well. Thank you, Jim

The question was asked to post some pictures of the front and passenger side. I was able to slide the car out far enough from the walls (in the corner of my shop) to get pictures of these areas. However, ebay is telling me I already have 24 pictures and I can't figure out how to delete some to add the new ones. If you're interested in the pics of the front and PS, text me at 713-805-3962and I'll shoot them to you.Other than the small crack in the rear quarter behind the wheel, this side is very straight along with the front end. There is some delamination on the outer edge of the drivers side headlight opening. I have that pic as well. Thank you, Jim
