Description for Chevrolet Impala 1965
1965 Chevrolet Impala SS 396 Convertible 4-Speed (see photos for documentation)This is a solid 1965 convertible with a 396 cubic inch 375 horsepower motor. It has a 4-speed Muncie transmission, power steering and power brakes. The '65 is triple black from the factory. The 396 is a 1968 engine/I believe to be 375 HP with headers. The SS runs and drives great. All brake work is new. Exhaust and tires are like new. Paint work is accurate but not a top dollar, show quality paint job. The interior is excellent and the top goes up and down as good as new. We have a lot of original documentation on the car demonstrating its provenance, including the original order form showing purchaser, price and options, including 396 - 325HP 4-speed. I believe this to be a three-owner car and I do have info on the other owners. This car is priced to sell with a reasonable reserve. It is also for sale locally. On Mar-06-17 at 07:44:28 PST, seller added the following information:
NOTE: Since posting my ad, I have gone back and answered several questions relating to the car. I have added an undercarriage photo and the VIN tag and Cowl Tag photos. The undercarriage has no floor rust, nor does the trunk floor have rust. The quarter panels appear to be original panels. Noted by one bidder: The door jamb shows wiring tucked up into the jamb. Upon inspection, it turns out that this car originally had power windows which were replaced with roll-ups. The original tachometer is in the car. Hope this helps answer a lot of bidders' questions. For those seriously interested in buying the car, I can individually send more undercarriage photos.
